hang on. last night’s megamind rewatch has me thinking. all this time, i thought megamind’s mispronunciation of random words was just that weird type of dreamworks humor where it’s funny because it’s wrong and, you know, “so random lolol”

but when he mispronounced “melancholy,” i started thinking about how i mispronounced the word “leviathan” until junior year of high school because i’d only ever seen it written down, i’d never heard anyone say it out loud before. and i started thinking that maybe the mispronunciation thing is supposed to suggest that he’s been so lonely and unsocialized his entire life that he’s learned the english language out of books, i.e. by sight rather than by interacting with other people?! was this the point all along?! has this been obvious to everyone else who watched the movie?! my god i’ve been so blind

Megamind has a cast of characters that would be uniquely suited for a series. And there are so many Western animation tropes it could pull off SOOOO easily... why, dreamworks... give me the episode where Megamind and Minion travel into Roxanne’s body to legit fight a virus or the episode where Megamind sends Roxanne into a video game.

Megamind is literally a sick dancer. He used to practise all the time in his cell growing up and the prisoners had dance-offs and he would always win. (I don’ t care if that’s unrealistic like it’s so fun to imagine the prisoners having their own breakdance teams and everything and the Warden would judge the competitions).
