“So this is where the best of the best gather to duke it out, huh?”

Poni Island’s rough terrain was certainly unforgiving, but Jake’s perseverance wouldn’t go unrewarded - he now stood in front of a tall tree. However, this was no ordinary tree. Around its gigantic trunk, stairs and platforms climbed all the way to the top - and the sounds of battling could be heard even at ground level.

“The Battle Tree… at least, that’s what the locals call it.”

The Manectric cranes his head up to look at the tree, before turning to Jake and barking. However, he then notices someone else approaching and turns his head to them.

Following Kracko’s gaze, Jake also sees the newcomer and smiles. “Oh, hello! Are you here to check this place out as well?”

💮 ~ So this was the Alola region right? It was a lot hotter than he was expecting.The sweater he usually always wore became a big mistake, forcing him to try and dress a little less than what he was used to. It’s so weird... Everyone was really nice and welcoming though! It really helped Wally feel welcomed to this new region.

And it made the trip to Poni Island and the Battle Tree all the more relaxing. Maybe he should take a vacation here with his Pokemon when he was done here...

“Eh?”

The voice of another catches him off guard, a smile coming onto his face as he turns. Ah! A fellow Trainer looking for a challenge here too?

“Alola! Yep! I’m here to check out this place! Name’s Wally!”

She let go of him and looked at him, the smile still obvious on the brunette’s face. She had missed her friend she then heard his question.

“I’ve been just fine, managing my Breeding Center and taking care of Pokemon like normal”

💮 ~ “Yeah it has. Time flies when you’re having fun as they say.”

Though it’s been relatively boring for him. Training here and there, seeing family, all things like that were rather boring. He hasn’t gone to see anything new or meet anyone new, which he’d be changing hopefully soon.

“Really? I should stop by sometime then!”

Were her eyes playing tricks on her, no they couldn’t be. She rubbed at her eyes just to make sure before she grinned. “Wally! Holy cow it’s been ages!” the breeder ran over to the trainer and pulled him into a hug. Devyn was grinning from ear to ear.

“How have you been?”

💮 ~ “I’ve been good. Just training... Going home for a while to relax... Taking some time off for me and my Pokemon... Didn’t realize a year almost went by.”

Time sure flies when you’re having fun right? Or... When you’re not paying attention to time it seems to shoot right past. He can’t believe he’s been out of the public eye for so long. Surely no one missed him too terribly right?
