Moodboard

These following figures are the source of my inspiration in this project. in terms of shape, the idea is still kind of blurry in my head, but i’m thinking simple geometric, a design that can be a flat-packed and simple constructed.

for colors, i’m most likely to choose these yellow-orange-ish plates. i feel it helps deliver the message of simplicity and happiness in the design. Sit + Store makes your life easier!

4. Communicate

The communication stage can be divided into two phases.

First, you need to decide which material can be most helpful to deliver your idea. A presentation, a video, a photo or even broacher.

For presentations, I have used PowerPoint and google slides and they both been very handy.

And for video editing I have used Video Studio and windows movie maker, both of these software had delivered a great tool for editing video but for a certain amount of time, personally I don’t see them keeping up with now days techniques and effects therefore I decided to start learning on After Affect which is another great software by Adobe that keep provide the next level effects and techniques that makes the video far more interesting.

Second, the best place to publish your work. There are enormous number of platforms today for people and designer to share their work on. And each day these platforms are specifying their content to a couple categories or even one, rather than an open space a user can post anything in them.

YouTube has been the most powerful tool to publish videos.

Recently I have been depending more Pinterest for a space dedicated for creativity and new ideas.

3. Collaborate

In design industry, collaboration is very important and essential in some cases.

Since it’s possible for people now to work remotely from all over the world in one specific project, it’s very important to have a tool that organize and keep the projects in order such as Trello and Basecamp.

Personally, I haven’t heard of these apps before and mainly used google sheets or chat apps to communicate with other participants in a project. But these platforms seem to provide the space and atmosphere to work with other designers remotely, by organizing them in list ‘To do’ for the upcoming projects ‘Doing’ for the under-process projects and ‘Done’ for the finished ones.

It’s helpful because of the ability to assign the due date and checklist for each project which keeps you informed how good the workflow is going.
