I have no DNI. I curate my own experience and will block anything and anyone that bothers me. It's your responsibility to filter out the things you don't want to see, not on the people around you to stop posting the things that make you uncomfortable.
If you like my art and want to use it, my usage rules are below the cut!
You're allowed to share or use my art as an icon/header/etc as long as you credit me (radleysproposal is the preferred name to credit under) and it isn't the following:
My OCs + Sonas
Artworks of Sea Nymph Cookie, Catabolic & related designs, or anything posted/reblogged to @soaring-compassion
Gifts, Art Trades, or Commissions done for others
Anything with reblogs turned off entirely
Any usage on Twitter (Keep me off of fash central please and thanks)
Any reuploads that censor anything present, such as profanity (I see this as extremely disrespectful. Why do people want reach so bad on art they didn't even make??)
*"Catabolic" Dandy is the design with the lace accents and veil over the face. Related designs are the Cider and Otto depictions most commonly drawn in relation to it. These two aren't me but they still hold a ton of significance to me so I hold them in a similar regard. Any other depictions I draw of these characters are A-OK to use.
Unless reblogged to soaring-compassion or stated otherwise somehow, fictionfolk have full permission to reblog and/or use my art with fictionfolk intent.
If someone requests a site graphic, icon, layout, etc. of a character, please do not use my art in them. It's because I frequently see blogs who make these things fail to credit back to the artists they take from and probably don't even ask before editing them.
Back when I was a redditor (đ) I realized a strange phenomenon. No one cares about your original posts, but if you make the post on another site and screenshot it, people assume itâs a tweet from someone who is known/is funny/etc and the post would do way better
I wish I could make white people(and not just white Americans) understand how diverse the pre-columbian Americas were. The history, religion, culture, politics was at least as complex as Europe's. There was the full gamut of religions, from monotheists to animists to ancestral religions. There were city building empires, village farmers, nomadic traders, and so many other ways to live. This is all just based on what we know, the fragments left behind and the stories of survivors of an apocalyptic plague. All this before the most extended campaign of genocide in history was waged in an attempt to wipe out those survivors.
Over 500 years spent trying to cut down a whole trunk of human culture.
Do you understand how much poorer our whole species is because of it? Can you imagine where art, religion, and science would be if we still had these vast bodies of knowledge? The stain of the colonial project will never be fully washed clean. We owe more than just the land to those we stole from. We owe them a whole future, a future that could have been brighter for all of us. If only greed and fear weren't allowed to rule this land.
me as a teenager: man it sucks to have no privacy or autonomy but i guess its for a good reason. when i turn 18 i will realise how young i was and understand why they did all that.
me as an adult: teenagers are an oppressed class, their abuse is normalised and systemic and they need to start killing people
I feel like so much "queer discourse" exclusively talks about issues that concern like. large queer accepting US cities. like there are so many posts about "lesbian specific spaces" and stuff but like. my city doesn't even have a gay bar. let alone regular events for queer women. there's 2 lesbian/sapphic bars in my country and they're in trouble. I've never seen anything close to a "lesbian specific space" irl in my life.
like it's actually crazy. I can't imagine having such a vibrant queer culture that every identity gets their own specific, exclusive spaces, and the biggest problem people are talking about is how they should be policed. and I live in quite a progressive area, it's just small! it's what makes me like 99% sure that most people talking about "spaces" mean "discord servers" or "the comment section of a chappell roan video"
what do you mean people think rhythm heaven groove's soundtrack is "bloated" what kind of complaint is that. oh no there's too much music in this music game
hey if youâre stuck being in church this sunday hereâs a reminder that itâs completely free to think about gay sex and no one can tell. the government doesnât want you to know this but jesus thinks itâs totally cool
the truly evil part about lolcowing is that the targets are almost always people who have done something/things that are unsavory at best or objectively harmful at worst and that is used as justification to treat them however you want with no recourse whatsoever. like you suddenly have permission to dehumanize someone for what, fucking entertainment. and if anyone tells you to cool it for a minute, suddenly they're supportive of that behavior, making you effectively immune to anyone who disagrees. like apparently nobody's ever heard of disproportionate punishment
