I wanted to draw a super hero casual design inspired by Bab's awesome Batgirl! I love love love the redesign and I can't wait to see her beautiful art in the new comic yay!

Some basic and (non-explanatoryimsorry) tips for all you casual cosplayers! This'll prolly take a hoodie/zip up sweater that'll need some updates but most importantly the symbol! A snap on hood with a yellow lining, a cape is optional. Black shorts with strap snap on accents. Fingerless, sporty half gloves. Thigh highs with black sidings. And you should def wear these cool Batgirl Dr. Martens I saw from Betty!

Watchin all dis new animus and Otakon coming up and all gave me the urge to draw super hero themed seifukus. I had a few of them designed like batmans and supermans but you all know how much I love ww so I colored that all first.

A sketch concept of WW for something I'll hopefully fully render something of the sort the near fuuuuutttuuureee. It's like... Spartan.... flowery warrior thaang. Wonder Woman you're such a champ here's a crown of flowers. Anyway my display piece for the art table I'll be at for Free Comic Book day at my favorite comic shop. I'll be there with Silly and Jade. At the table I'll be there to help promote building an art community for the store and the surrounding area. Plans shall be to hold workshops for comic and art related things at the store! Busay, busay. We're trying to get as many local artist to participate as much as we can : ).

I was surfing my old tumbr name, megarinri, because I'm vain like that. Heh no, I can't joke about that without laughing. Seriously though I was searching my old tumblr name because I recently switched and I wanted to see how searching my old name turns out. Perhaps switching usernames was a bad idea because it gives dead links now. I apologize but I just wanted to get rid of that old internet name I had since I was a wee teen on the interwebs. Anyway I found this during my search! These lovely gals are from White Hot Room. They put together the outfits I drew out for Wiccan, Robin, and Green Arrow /crycrysobeautiful. It's an awesome site that fuses fashion and geek together. You guys should check it out, they have a ton of things likes trendeh clothes and DIYs. Yay! They have a tumblr too.

X-Men Now Storm version work in progress! I sketched it out a little while I visited my family and watched the Grammys with them. I'm very excited to read the new relaunch of the X-Men. I know the outfit looks very similar but I tried OTL. Adding a little embellishments hurr and thurr and turning that long coat (i think that's what i'm seeing in the cover) into a short blazer. Hopefully I shall finish it soon.

Someone asked me to draw Princess Bubblegum and Marceline as magical girls and I thought that was such a cute idea. So here's a sketch of magical gal PB, she's a sweet candy mage with a lolistaff. Still werkin on Marceline you can prolly see her outline base haha. I do love that hawt hawt pink color but I might change the palette around.

Captain Marvel inspi sketch. I wanted to do an 80s-ish boyish look.

Jean jacket, jersey jacket, make sure it's a little bigger so you can fit a hoodie under there.

A more fitted hoodie, preferably above the belt. Edit dat thang! If you don't want the hoodie, a shirt would look great too (and it'd be a bit easier to make).

Jeans! I like the whole roll them up for the flood look hah.

Red belt.

Sneakers, booties. I decided to draw creepers because I just think they're so cool haha.

Hi there! Can you post how you draw the base of your drawings?

I do some color of basic shapes first then lower the opacity, then over that I do a mess o' darker sketching and again lower the opacity. After all dat I draw my final mess o' lineart.

No but I've always wanted to go there because you know Scott Pilgrim. Haha but for realzies, Canada in general seems like a pretty awesome place to be. Hopefully I can make my first ever trip there over the summr.

What inspired you to start drawing character-themed fashion sketches? :O

Back in my first year of college, my two best friends and I were super into american comics. I'd usually forget what their exact costume was so I'd make up some closet clothing stuff of superheroes on the sides of my notebook.Aaannnd I really like fashion, girly thangs, and themed everyday wear. Like people who closet cosplay and dress in clothes after characters in a subtle and fun way, I think they're really cool. Dress to impress bb.

Kid Loki inspi sketch because the new Young Avengers just came out this week. I have to say in my opinion the writing is a little shaky for the first issue but I just love the Young Avengers characters and Kid Loki is in it so Ima stick to it. But so far that Marvel reboot I feel is pretty strong because mmhmm Avengers Arena. Me gusta. You know what I also me gusta? The peplum shape, I know I’m kinda late on the trend but I think it is a very universal and flattering form for plenty different shaped bodies.

Where do you get inspiration to draw different styles of clothes? Do you have any book, website, etc. recommendations? Thanks!

I really like super cute clothes, hipster lookin clothes, the punkish look, and urban wear. When I'm having a hard time coming up with particular pieces of clothing, I go through my favorite window shoppin online stores for ideas like Karmaloop, ModCloth, and ASOS because they tend to carry lots and lots of different styles and designers. Because of tumblr and all them lovely fashion blogs out there, I get to easily see post that show lots of high fashion runway shots. I particularly get inspired by street wear clothing in Japan because I really like some of the pieces they put together to make a ballsy and awesome outfit.

Me trying to fuse my fun superhero inspi sketch blog with my normal art sketch blog. I hope it werks out hah.

These are characters from a story I have been working forever ago about islanders. These people are called Icelanders or Northlanders (ode to the wonderful comic), for they live in the most north island which happens to be the largest and very populated for it's conditions of living.

This is probably the 100th version I have done of these guys... probably because they're my favorite. Through many generations of survival, the icelanders have become born fighters specializing in different fighting styles and weapons. Presenting their first kill of a giant beast is the marking of them becoming an adult and further more a warrior. They go through the process of getting quick growing coral implanted into their bodies to grow, cut, and sharpened to represent the beast they first killed. The coral grows continuously so they must sharpen it daily else it will hinder them. This process is done for discipline and to remind them to never be idle. Two sisters who killed a giant Ram, master at the bastard sword and hand-to-hand combat. And the guy who is a favored companion who killed a giant walrus.
