So I apologize for not updating this blog in a very long time. It’s been the holiday season which goes on forever in Georgia as they are Orthodox and have a different religious calendar. I traveled to Belgium and also experienced the largest amount of snow I have seen before in my life. Needless to say I was not happy. I also went to my first Georgian wedding which was huge and an extremely lively event. New Years was great as families make “gozinaki” which is walnuts and honey together and is unsurprisingly delicious. School’s finally back to as normal as possible which I am actually looking forward to. I am going to try and update this blog more as I’m keeping this one short as I am overwhelmed by how much I could put on here.

So since I am swearing in and becoming an official volunteer in nine days, I felt like it was time to post some more pictures. Here’s some snippets of my life these days. My cluster and I hanging out at our village store, lunch at a restaurant, Tbilisi on the day we went to visit some organizations, some highlights from my team for our summer camp’s photo scavenger hunt, and my host grandmother surrounded by cherries just picked from our gigantic cherry tree in our otherworldly garden. Life’s pretty nice in Georgia, I’m really looking forward to spending the next two years here needless to say.

We explored Gori Saturday. It was wonderful being out of the village, if only for a couple of hours.
