Homesick
Some people say NYC is a lonely place, I rather disagree. I felt more connected and alive in the city then being back in Missouri. Maybe it's because I have been isolated from the friends I once had here. So instead of feeling supported and loved I feel insignificant and alone. The only hope in the end of the tunnel is going back to New York or a big city in general where I can find people that care and support me. The struggles of grad school.

Mending my soul
My father passed away a week ago. I have realized that I can be put together by this event. It's not a tragedy, I think it's a good thing. I have come to peace with it and am relieved that he is gone. That seems weird but we had a horrible relationship. This is my grieving.
So I don't know what to think about my father. I wish I didn't have to pretend to care especially since his last words to me were horrible.
