Shes actually very intelligent, she's got a mind like Ranpo, she doesn't understand how her mind works, Yuuki was confused when Ame started asking her about things that happened only a month after she was born, so she just distracted her and left it at that. Then Ame asked Dazai about why Yuuki was beat in the port mafia.
Ame later started to get irritated, Yuuki would be working on a case, Ame solved it in minutes but yuuki brushed it off. Assuming Ranpo told her it. Ame would constantly try to prove that its her who's smart but all the adults would treat her like a toddler. Except one.
Ranpo Edogawa. Ame always had loved Ranpo but she loved him because he understood her more than anyone else, Ame was just like him as a kid.. But instead of fourteen, Ame was only seven.
It took weeks for Ame to prove that shes big and smart, unfortunately, this brought ame to solve all of her parents cases by herself, she would try and gloat about her big brain.. But one day that urge to help everyone would haunt her
One day while Ane was playing just outside the building, A stranger asked ame for her help, Ame was trying to make herself known, deliberately disobeying her parents telling her that she needs to keep this to herself, the ada didn't want Ame potentially getting kidnapped for something like this. Ame left with the stranger (this sounds familiar, doesn't it?) However, unlike Ranpo knowing he was being kidnapped, Ame didn't, she may be smart, but shes also very naive. She thinks everyone is a friend.
Ame made it to some abandoned werehouse, she asked about the job and not even a minute after stepping foot into that place, ame had a knife to her neck, the thing was, the man wanting ame was just wanting the armed detective agency. He hated the detectives since they once put his wife in jail for murder. He believes the woman was innocent
"My mama will come save me! You big dummy"
And rigut as the man tried to slit her throat.. A gunshot, the man wad thrown back, holding his leg in pain. Yuuki ran to Ame in an instant
"Mama! I knew it! I knew you'd come save me! See? I told you im—"
"YOU DELIBERATELY DISOBEYED ME, AME! WE'VE TOLF YOU COUNTLESS TIMES TO STAY SAFE!! DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED ME AND YOUR FATHER WERE?!"
"B-but i- i knew yo-"
"YOU PUT YOURSELF IN GRAVE DANGER JUST FOR WHAT? RECOGNITION? AND WHAT IF YOUR LITTLE CALCULATION WAS FAULTY?!"
Safe to say, Ame understood why she was told not to tell the world about her brain, only relatives. Yuuki never ever let her play alone again.
Intro: Yuuki Saito is a 20 year old detective working at the ada, she has one Daughter named Ame and loves her to bits.
Appearance: She has long brown hair but ties it up into two buns on top of her head, she wears a dark brown coat with a white blouse and a black corset, her skirt is long over the knees and is a dark blue color. Her eyes are multi colored, one teal and one purple. Yuuki has a LOT of scars, both from her ability and from other missions and occasionally self harm
Personality: Yuuki is very motherly to many around her, however, when she's not motherly she's basically a hyperactive puppy, shes energetic, bubbly and playful. She can get work done but it's very rare for her to sit down and do just work since she cannot focus on things she doesn't have interest in. You may think Yuuki is naturally like this, partially yes but it's more forced when she's upset. She doesn't want to make anyone hurt or stop smiling just because of her emotions.
Ability: Bound By My Puppeteers strings, it makes her able to control anyone and anything, but it does have a few cons, when dealing with a big number or people or one heavy person/object the strings will cut her skin, deeply. She got used to this pain by the age of 10
Backstory (TW!!! CHILD NEGLECT, ABUSE, CANNIBALISM,, EMETOPHOBIa URDER UNDER THE CUT!)
Before Yuuki was even born, her father, Haru Saito, only thought of the physical and strength of what she'd be like. He had two twin children named Akira and Hiro. They were both 18 when Yuuki was born.
When she was born, her father treated her right until she was around 3, thats when he found out about her ability, he helped her gain a very small amount of control of it. Haru had connections, he was not a poor man either, he was fairly wealthy, he worked closely with the port mafia, he was never in combat or anything, just helped with finances and stuff like that. However that all changed when He brought Yuuki know the mix.
Yuuki was probably around 4 when she met Mori, she does not remember meeting him now but Mori didn't take her simply because of her age, he told Haru to wait a few years so he waited until she was 8, thats when she worked with Mori, she didn't exactly join the port mafia, she collabed with them, but she felt like a member.
When Yuuki was 12, she met Dazai. He was only 14 but they weirdly got a long. Yuuki was very quiet. She was trained brutally to act like Harus doll. She even looked like a doll!

Now let's get onto Yuuki's training.
Yuuki was trained every day, for 12 hours, the other 12 hours she worked with her father and the port mafia, Haru taught her that it was unacceptable for her to speak unless VERY SPECIFICALLY told to. He trained her to be his little doll. Now Yuuki's training would consist of her overusing her ability, getting her arms looking like they went through a blender, get yelled at and punished, go to port mafia to do missions with Dazai and occasionally chuuya (when he joins) and repeat!
Now if you thought training was bad, her punishment were inhuman.
Mild punishments: slaps, kicks, punches, no food for a day, overtime.
Normal punishments: no food for a month, (he'd give her like barley a meal and just a lot of water), serious beatings, burning, locked in the cupboard.
Severe punishments: a large feast after she has barley any food for three months, makes her eat it ALL and when she throws up, make her eat the vomit. Hed feed her HUMAN FLESH. both cooked and raw, telling her that shes lucky she even gets anything at all, being beaten in front the port mafia and more.
You may be wondering where Yuuki's twin siblings are, right? Well when Yuuki was 5, Hiro and Akira had already been beaten black and blue, in Haru's eyes he trained them too late at 16 so they're more rebellious. Haru and Akira ran away at 23, When Haru found them, he saw Hiro dead, cyanide poisoning and Akira blacked out, when he dragged her home, the moment he checked back up on her, she was dead.
NOW! when Yuuki was fourteen, three months away from her fifteenth birthday Ame was born! Ame was born! Haru threw his responsibility for Ame out the window because he already has his doll he doesn't want another, So Yuuki and her mother gladly took Ame, unfortunately Ame was brought to the port mafia a lot when Yuuki was this age, why? Well Yuuki's Mother was very ill after having Ame and because Haru never took care of her, Yuuki had to take her in. Which was hetic, Dazai introduced Yuuki to Oda when she brought Ame in, Which in her eyes, made her seem soft Yuuki liked Oda though.. He took care of dazai.
One day, Yuuki couldn’t get Ame to stop crying, so Haru poked a pencil in her eye, which just made Ame cry more. This made Ruby and Haru fight and argue, Yuuki had finally gotten Ame to sleep when she left to check on her mother, she was hanging. Two gunshots had been fired into her chest, before Haru realised Yuuki saw, she stole all the money she could find in a short amount of time, packed a bag for Ame and herself and LEFT. She ran away to anywhere. She lived on the streets until she was 18 where she got a job at Cafe Uzamaki. She met the agency and nearly had a heart attack seeing Dazai again, she thought hed send her back, but she soon realised.. he.. he was kind.. nicer.. hed changed.
Dazai knew Uzamaki payed good buut the Ada could pay BETTER so he set up a situation, someone tried to kidnap Ame. Yuuki used her ability on the user and the agency immediately saw her potential. Yuuki declined dazais invitation, she declined Ranpo’s but.. kunikida gave her a speech. And Yuuki couldn’t refuse. So, she passed her entrance exam and now we have semi present day!
Summary: Yuuki keeps a camera that holds multiple videos of her, Kunikida and their kids! But unfortunately that camera would be the only thing of him left. Angst, this is set before the most recent chapters!

You can hear birds chirping and see the soft rays of sunlight shine on his face, glasses still on his head from working in his bed. Silky golden hair out its usual ponytail and flailed all over his pillow. “Darlinggg.. Cmon wake up… We have a special day today..” You hear a woman's voice.. She turns the camera and you see a brown haired, multi-colored eyed woman. She was around 23 years old and probably engaged or married.. You couldn't tell. Until you hear a groaning voice croaking out “My dear, what time is it?”
That voice belonged to Kunikida Doppo. “Abbboooout 6:36, why? We don't have a schedule for today.”
The camera moved, now showing the woman in all her beauty, hair down, eyes still caked in sleep. This woman’s name is Yuuki Saito. Her neck littered with purple marks, some woth bites and some without from the night before and for once, her arms on full display.. Scars from her ability and all. “Why do you like seeing me bare?”
“Because..” He paused, setting the camera down, not realizing that it was facing them. “I think seeing you like this It.. Brings us closer”
The woman tilts her head “brings us—” she was cut off with his lips kissing eat individual string mark.. The video lasted for 1hr and 38 minutes.

Yuuki's stretching, the result of the morning and night before, made her a little achy. around her, Two twins, who had just started learning how to talk and walk, wobbled around her “Mama! Mama!” is all they splattered out while the woman was trying to get on her swimsuit, A man's hand, probably kunikida's was covering her body.
[The time read 11:45am]
You could see both Kunikida and Yuuki sitting under the shade as he applied sunscreen on her, she leaned into his touch “HURRYYY YOUR TAKING AGGGESSSS” the man behind the camera whined. This was Dazai.
“QUIET! I DON'T WANT MY WIFE TO GET HEATSTROKE OR SUNBURNT! LEAVE US BE!” Kunikida's voice boomed back, the camera turned to see Ame and Hoshiko playing in the sea while a little boy by the name of Oda Doppo (Yuuki and Kunikida's son) hugged Dazai's leg.. His twin sister, Akiko played with Ranpo in the sand. The camera turned back into the couple and you could see the couple kissing, kunikida's hands on Yuuki’s waist and Yuuki's in his hair.
“THAT doesn't look like applying sunscreen to meee~~!!!” Dazai threw teases at the two. When the last thing you could hear was “TURN THAT CAMERA OFF NOW!!!!”

You can hear a woman singing a lullaby while three kids laid on her lap, Oda, Akiko and Ame, You could tell it was Kunikida behind the camera because you can hear his quiet voice humming along. When she finished she tucked the children in their separate beds, and held her hand out.
“wish for a dance, My dear?”

The sea was almost all you could hear, you can hear the sound of feet splashing close to the shore while Yuuki hummed the tune of the song that played at the couples wedding. Kunikida held her close, carefully leading her into a twirl. His eyes never EVER leaving her face. When the two stopped their quiet frolic.. They sat down in the sand, you can hear Yuuki softly mumbling “Would you ever wish for anything else… in place of me and what we have now?” Kunikida shook his head and kissed her hand, directly on the Ruby ring, shining in the moonlight.“Never, My love. I would never wish for anything other than this. I would never wish for anyone to be my wife, the bearer of my children.. Other than you.”
[The video stopped]
All she could see was a black screen. While before it was ‘you’ but.. You are Yuuki Doppo. She looked outside to see the carnage that is now Yokohama.. She looks at the twins, curled up with Ame. She started to cry, hugging her legs... Her husband now dead. Gone. He was murdered right before her eyes. She couldn't save them. She knew her life would be taken as well.. She had CHILDREN to take care of.. She couldn't kill herself there…
“oh Kunikida… why did you have to leave me like this..?”
