I can't stop thinking about a fifteen-year-old abandoned teenager who spends half the day at school and then regularly visits his grandfather, from whom you can't get a word of affection.

I think about a very independent boy who has to do all the housework, washing, cleaning, cooking, doing homework, because there is no one else to take care of him. I think about how lonely he is, even though he looks so bright and funny outwardly. I think about how attentive and kind he is to others, and loneliness has not hardened him.

I think about how he, in turn, simply and naturally treats his loneliness without dramatizing, although there is no one nearby, and it can be too quiet sometimes.

I think that he got used to pretend, to wear a mask and smile. I think about a strong, persistent boy, who has no time to concern about himself with his heart full of sympathy and compassion to others.

I think about a mature child who easily takes responsibilities and admits his blunders (even if he is in no way to blame).

And you literally learn all this from the first pages of the manga.

its always funny to me that a lot of the hate callisto is getting was because of penny's pre-conceived understanding of his in-game character where her character died a whole lot just by pissing him off.

the fact that it wasn't some kind of misunderstanding and that he actually draws his sword without warning and hesitation makes it even funnier.

i can argue that the maze garden scene is a justified reaction on his part, knowing that he constantly has assassins sent after him and that he doesn't have the leisure to let his guard down at any given moment. but also, if penelope hadn't caught his "interest" in that scene, callisto would have been a fucking nightmare to deal with.

when he told her that he doesn't care whether she's a leila who was about to destroy the empire, or if she was the hero who will save it from ruination, and that he will give her what she wants in a silver platter—man that's hella sexy of him. but also considering how he's just that freaking OP character, imagine how terrifying it'd be if he actually ended up becoming an enemy.
