Karaoke with KATSEYE! -- Megan Skiendiel x Reader
a/n : not werewolf mei but something i thought of and thought it was so cute!! also note this is my first actual fic!
It was a rare, short friday off for the kats. HxG had decided they deserved a day off from their long, draining rehearsals. the girls decided to have a day of lazing around and an evening of fun.
They decided to host a karaoke night. Something they had done before, but didn’t have enough time to do anymore. They decided to keep it to just them, but after a lot of pleading Megan gad convinced them to let you join.
It also took you a bit of convincing.. Since you weren’t confident in singing, it was not something you found as a strength at all. But you couldn’t say no to her, especially since you had missed her so much recently.
So here you all were, in the living room only lit y a low warm lamp and the glow of the TV. Lara and Yoonchae sat on the floor, giggling and playful fighting over small things. Manon and Dani were sat together on the couch, watching and waiting for anything to start. Sophia was stood up with a drink in one hand and the remote in the other, searching for the next song.
You and Megan were sat together in the corner of the couch. You sat with your legs up on the couch, facing slightly sideways. Megan laid between your legs with her head resting on your stomach. Every once in a while she’d giggle and pass you a snack that she had grabbed from anywhere and anyone.
“Okay!! I found a song, but I need a duet partner… Manon?” Sophias slightly mischievous smile comes out as she clicks on the video karaoke for A Whole New World from Aladdin. Of course a Disney song. She grabbed the two mics and held one towards Manon.
Manon playfully rolled her eyes and sprung up to start singing with Sophia. They both poured their heart and souls into the song, acting out little motions, making faces that they both giggled at and pretending they were actually on a flying carpet. The rest of the girls cracked up, giggling, mocking and commenting on everything. Dani made a face that was almost identical to the one that Manon had pulled seconds before.
Megan giggled and reached her hand up to your mouth, placing a piece of pop-corn inside before going back to feeding herself. Your hand came down to gently run through her hair, your nails gently scratching her scalp as you did. She looked up to you with a genuine, soft smile and hummed quietly at the feeling.
Once Manon and Sophia has finished their song they both took a very dramatic bow and the others pretended to cheer and clap.
“ENCORE!!” “BRAVO!!! BRAVO!!!”
Lara and Yoonchae were teasing as they threw some chips toward Manon and Sophia.
“Okay who’s up next?” Sophia asked before settling on the floor in front of Dani and beside Yoonchae. Manon went back to her seat beside Dani.
“Me!!” Lara almost squealed and sprung up from the floor. She grabbed the remote and put on Only Girl in the World by Rhianna. She sang through the whole song flawlessly, adding her own riffs and spins that left everyone’s jaw on the floor.
Once she finished everyone practically screamed in unison, praising and cheering for her. Which she very much deserved.. You thought she was just so talented, out of this world even.
The night continued on with different songs. Megan occasionally getting up to join in while you stayed sat in your position and admired her enjoying herself with her friends.
Then she had an idea, she turned to you with a sweet smile and turned over to lay her chin on your stomach.
“Soo.. You know that I love you sooo much.. And you love me sooo much..” She started, you sighed. “Come sing with me please? Just one song!”
You narrowed your eyes at her in a playful manner and ran your hand through her hair. “Mei, I cannot sing for the life of me.”
“Well.. I think you can. But pleasee!!” She insisted with a cute little smile that warmed your heart.
“I don’t know Mei..” Your eyes turned into a bit more of a wide, doe like expression.
“Well what if you just stand with me then? I will sing to you. Please just that?" She batted her eyelashes and pushed her bottom lip out. She gave you her best little puppy face she could, knowing fully well you can’t resist her. You took a deep breath before nodding.
She sprung up from her position and pulled you up by your hands before dragging you to the front of the living room. She clicked her tongue as she scrolled through different music. You fidgeted with the sleeves of your hoodie out of nervousness.
After a moment of deciding she picked Your Song by Elton John. It was a song that you both assiociated with each other for a while, even calling it your song. But also something she knew was familiar, soft and slow that would help you to calm. She placed the remote on the centre table before turning to you with that same look that made you fall in love with her.
Once the music started playing she wrapped her arm around your waist and held you close. You wrapped your arms around her neck with a warm smile. She gently swayed you in a slow dance as she began to sing to you, a gentle, sweet voice that she used only for you.
The rest of the room was drowned out, the “aww!”’s and the teases from the girls, you were completely focused on her. Her soft eyes, her gentle movements, her beautiful singing and the way her lips moved so gently, like it was almost practiced. She kept her eyes on yours the whole song and sang every word to you with true meaning.
Once the song began to fade out she leaned in closer, pressing her lips against yours in a soft kiss. It was full of her love, full of her words that she couldn’t find a word to say. You kissed back with the same softness, the same love that made you both fit together perfectly.
You were so entranced and so in your little world with her that when the girls suddenly started to become louder with their coos it scared you slightly. You just smiled and pressed your forehead against Megan’s, closing your eyes before you spoke.
“That was beautiful, I love you MeiMei.”
“I love you too, my girl.”
You stayed in each other’s arms for a moment after, the world had drowned out again and all that mattered was that you were here with your girlfriend.
