One of my many guilty pleasures is that I like Felicia. I know a lot of people in the fandom hate her, but I just like her, sure her personality sucks but I think she’s a great character, I’m not a great critic or something but I just really like her, Felicia being an immature child, just wandering around, to going to someone the Villa can rely on, and she can rely on them as her family. I should stop before I turn this post into me talking about how much I like Felicia and why.
if all characters started off flawless there’d be no point in story writing. people who hate felicia don’t seem to understand children and how their life circumstances can have such a drastic effect on them. Felicia is one of the best examples of character growth in the series and you can see in many of the side stories, especially her doppel awakening, how much she’s becoming mature and self aware. And even beyond that she serves as great evidence of how much of an effect someone as genuine and good as Iroha can have on others, as we aren’t able to see the full extent of that with Touka and Nemu until much later in the story, so in the interim Felicia is her feisty child. Also also, I’d argue shes one of the most fiercely determined and loyal characters in her own way, and once she gets past the avenging her parents by prioritizing killing witches mentality, she as you said becomes one of the most reliable girls around. And her compassion over little things, like trying to take it upon herself to explain things to the mafia team in chapter 8 so as not to stress out Tsuruno for worry of a relapse, is just 👌😭💜
tldr: stand by your love, OP. Felicia is objectively one of the best written most intentional characters of the story
