Thoughts: Wow, so how shall I begin? This Ramen is by far THE BEST in Melbourne! The broth itself is made from over 100Kg of pork bones, stewed for over 72 hours. No other place have I see egg perfection to this level; dubbed the "Heaven's Egg", you'll be asking for double helpings next time you visit! With a great mixture of bamboo shoots, fresh vegetables and succulent pork; you will be in flavour country.

Item: Lamb Salad Price: $17.00

Thoughts: Tender grilled lamb, rested on a bed of perfectly cooked baby spinach, what would be a nicer lunch? Well the addition pumpkin and roasted pine nuts really take this dish to another level. The lemon dressing, while really nice can be a bit over powering so a word of warning, leave the lemon slice garnish to the side.

Item: Salsa Eggs Price: $16.00

Thoughts: This dish makes a great alternative to the standard Benedict/Florentine affair. The fresh avocado salsa makes a nice contrast to the hot yolk within the perfectly poached eggs. The final twist to this dish is the delicious balsamic glaze beneath the crisp rocket. A perfect breakfast in summer.

Item: French Toast Price: $12.50

Thoughts: I really love that Waterstone Café always use thick doorstop toast, allowing much more of the egg and milk mixture to be absorbed.

Once cooked, the toast itself is dusted in a combination of icing sugar and cinnamon; ready for a good dousing of traditional mapel syrup.

The bacon is always cooked to perfection, firm yet cripsy. My personal touch to this dish is to include a side dish of Strawberries.
