Pondering (BFA Spoiler)

Something I’ve been wondering about given the BFA excerpts.

Lightouched undead Calia Menethil (gods it still hurts my soul to say that).

For RP…should I push Niklos towards that? As far as undead Alliance priest goes he is as close to the Light as (previously thought) possible without going up in flames. But with the new revelation out that apparently undead can run on JUST the Light and NOT turn into a walking bonfire…makes for an interesting turn.

@melchiztzedek’s death/sacrifice gave Niklos enough of a charge so that he is no longer pained by the Light when touched by it (also making him slightly less undead looking/acting). But as far as being dead goes he is still very dead and there is still that necromatic skeleton he has to keep up or he stops moving (think the metal skeleton inside stop-motion animation dolls). I guess the next step up would be the Light slowly consuming the skeleton and taking it over until that too is light-fueled.

Hrm…decisions decisions…

It would be interesting RP, also it would mean that both gen 1 forsaken traitors will end up as something not-necromancy-undead in the end, which I find hilarious. Eh @ryutan-lanceor?

1. Write a drabble about Niklos doing something he shouldn't!

It was a bad idea from the start - he should have known better.

But…how could he not? This was tradition, and like any tradition it should be upheld with the utmost dignity and grace…no matter the cost. Pinchy watched as his owner mulled over the situation. 

“Yes….yes I should.”

But no, no you shouldn’t, another voice said at the back of his mind. It was improper, and would get him into trouble, again.

Still….the reward was worth the price-to-be!

With his pale lips pressed together, Bishop Adamant swallowed hard, mustered up his courage and added one last name to the list of dates to be auctioned off at the Lover’s Feast coming in two weeks.

“Lord Vicar Melchiz Tzedeck. Orientation - Any.”

Character designs for Niklos’ background.

Father Nicholas Adamant Adamant the elder…yet another in the long string of orphans adopted into the Clergy of Lordaeron. The Adamant that adopted Nicholas, Tallos Adamant, was in short, a horrible father. Nicholas grew to be whimsical, eccentric, rebellious and unorthodox…it was not until he almost lost the then-orphan Niklos that the Father finally settled down (every so slightly) to be a proper priest of the Light - not for himself, but for the sake of his son. Like most Adamants, Nicholas passed away when Niklos came of age. He is currently buried in the ruins of Lordaeron Cathedral.

Father Loth’eal Exilus A rare Quel’dorei that resided in the city of Lordaeron as a longterm resident- a part of some sort of exchange agreement. Loth’eal has seen the coming and going of several generations of Adamants. Once a close friend of Tallos Adamant, he has taken it upon himself to make certain that the line of Adamants would not fall too far. Like Niklos, Loth’eal was gifted with the soulsight, and played a crucial part in Niklos’ upbringing. Loth’eal was responsible for the occasional elvish twang Niklos has in his speech, most of his non-eccentric mannerisms and pretty much everything concerning being a priest…sort of makes one wonder what the hell Nicholas taught Niklos.

Like most elves, Loth’eal had a fondness for greenery, and was often seen growing white water lilies in the cathedral gardens - a habit Niklos would take up later. Loth’eal has survived both the fall of Lordaeron and Silvermoon city, and his whereabouts are currently unknown. Rumour has it that the elderly elf has passed on from old age - that or he has retired to Shattrath City in Outlands.
