Iâm writing this to let my followers know that Iâll be deactivating this Tumblr account. If anyone is willing to reblog this so it doesnât disappear once the account is gone, I would truly appreciate it đ
Over the past few months, Iâve received ongoing anonymous hate. Based on patterns and timing, I strongly suspect itâs one person repeatedly finding new ways to reach me after I turned off asks here and disabled guest comments on AO3. Even so, whether itâs one person or more doesnât really change the impact. The behavior has become persistent, calculated and deeply insidious, and itâs really taken a toll on my self worth and mental health.
I started writing this story as a creative outlet, something I rarely have access to in my day to day life and job. I never really thought anyone would see it, or resonate with it, but it has been a beautiful thing to connect with those who have felt something reading it.
Tumblr unfortunately doesnât offer meaningful tools to prevent anonymous harassment, bot accounts, or fake accounts from continuing with their behavior. Removing myself is the only way to fully close that door, and Iâm fearful if I block this person, they will only escalate even further.
I donât know yet what this means for my writing long term. AO3 at least provides reporting tools and some level of moderation, so if I continue, it will be there.
Thank you to those who showed up in good faith, who chose kindness without agenda or from the lens of competition. You are the best of this fandom, and the one part that still makes it worth creating in the first place.
But Iâll say this: protect yourselves. There is more resentment and jealousy here than people want to admit, and it can turn very toxic, very quickly. I wish things were different. I wish we could simply create, read, and support one another without it becoming something so corrosive.
Kindness should not be rare, and it should not come at the cost of so much emotional suffering.

Canon Severus Snape being a representation of unrequited love and grief and sacrifice does not make him an incel. He never shows a hatred towards women or towards certain types of women. He doesnât try to interfere with Lilyâs marriage. He never implies that all men that are popular should be hurt. He rather likes Draco Malfoy, in fact. He is just traumatized by certain specific boys who bullied and assaulted him. An incel hates women. Severus lives and dies for the woman he loves, with the understanding that she will not love him back.

And it was the day Lily Evans, soon Potter, remembered the words of a small scrawny boy she once acknowledged as her best mate.
âIsnât it silly to take someone elseâs surname anyway?â He asked her as they laid careless of the world on their green green grass. âI mean we all have our own names, why do we have to change it for ⊠for a new person?â
âI think âcause you marry them.â She said ever so brightly, a small witch from Cokeworth. âWonât you get married anyway?âÂ
He had considered this, brow furrowed with a seriousness that seemed too heavy for the sunny riverbank. "Maybe," he allowed, as if it were a distant, theoretical thing, like becoming an astronaut. "Doesn't everyone?"
"Mr. Paisley didn't," Lily announced, triumphant with her piece of adult-world knowledge. She rolled onto her stomach, chin in her hands. "Also dad's friend from the office. His wife kept her name. Mum says it caused a right fuss with the in-laws, but they got used to it."
âIâm not changing my surname. Even if itâs shite.â He stated, confused from whatever the heck Lily was blabbering about.Â
âItâs not shite! It rhymes with snake! That is cool, Sev. People like cool. Especially in Hogwarts.â
He glanced at her, probably thinking she was talking silly. And the poor boy was unfortunately not that wrong since his name was one of the reasons he would constantly get taunted and whatnot by ⊠James Potter andâÂ
Lilyâs husband, also a man whose surname sheâd soon take.Â
Lily Evans would soon be Lily Potter and it all felt too much for her right now. Was she even doing the right thing? She wasnât even so sure anymore. She had her own doubts. Like for the last few months, she was arguing with herself, over and over, in her own head, which made her feel somewhat lonely despite having so many people around her all the time.
If to be loved was to be seen, then Lily wasnât so sure why nobody amongst all these people truly saw her inner struggle once she said âyesâ to him. Everybody instead saw a happy ending, a golden couple, the talk of town, the front pages of the Prophet and everything that felt surreally alien to disattached Lily.
Whatever was to happen after tonight, she did not want to die once as Lily Potter, a wife, a mother, but ⊠she wasnât even sure as what but all she knew was that she knew nothing yet felt everything all at once, and, Merlin, it overwhelmed her.Â
I hope one day marauder fans realize that Severus Snape is the main character of that era. The literal reason behind why we know of their dynamics properly is through him, and THAT alone already says enough to know that he was the central character. Not Remus Lupin, who actually revealed very little, not Sirius Black, who despite having tough time moving on (understandably so) from his school time, also revealed very little to his godson, and not literal dead parents of the boy who lived (RIP), but bitter, scrawny, rude, sharp, Severus Snape, who probably wished to not be the central character. He is the last person who would have wanted this role. He didn't cherish these memories; he was haunted by them.
He is the unwitting archivist of their legend, the keeper of their sins and their glories, all preserved in the amber of his own bitterness. The Marauders, for all their charm and tragedy, exist in the narrative as satellites to his gravity. Their story is not told through the fond, hazy memories of Remus or the defiant nostalgia of Sirius, but through the raw, unhealed wound that is Severus Snape.
New design for the potions professor more based on medieval styles since wizards and witches fashion is based on the idea of them using long robes and pointy hats. May or may not have taken inspiration from the LOTR books and movies.
