It’s interesting to hear everyone complain about book Sev Snape and how excessively mean and impulsive he was towards the kids while also knowing he is basically a highly unregulated adult who never got a break his whole life and therefore never learned how to act properly.

More on my rendition of the Hogwarts uniforms! Yes, it's the second time I've posted my version of the Slytherin's uniform. Just that this time it's the uniforms for the golden trio era. Why would they change? You'd ask. The answer is that after Severus became head of house, after facing ridicule in his Hogwarts years, especially what happened in SWM, and knowing how vulnerable the uniforms can leave students, I'd expect he'd change them. Adding flared trousers as a subtle hint of muggle fashion in a kind of rebellious yet secret way of moving away from the blood purism that plagues the house and making up for it with a more rustic look. Also moving away from the militaristic style from when he attended school, making the Slytherin's uniforms closer to Gryffindor's and therefore going from "elitist, formal, and strict" to "clever, adaptable, and stylish".

Talking about my version of the Gryffindor's uniform. I made it easy to move in, hinting at their athleticism, very much echoing the mediaeval looks of knights, and also hinting at them being "the heroes" most of the time. So, yeah, houses not only had it worse by their reputation and such but also when it came to uniforms. That's why I would think Severus would try and level it out, especially given what he went through.

New design for the potions professor more based on medieval styles since wizards and witches fashion is based on the idea of them using long robes and pointy hats. May or may not have taken inspiration from the LOTR books and movies.
