Language learners struggle a l o t with identifying a gender of the noun. Unfortunately, some German words have more than one gender: the word Bonbon can be used with both der and das so as Keks, Bereich, Filter, Liter, Meter, Sims. Dschungel is one of German nouns which can have all three genders but the masculine gender is by far the most common.
Sometimes a word can have different meanings depending on the article which it is used with.
