It hadn’t even been fourty-eight hours, none of his members knew what happened - but that didn’t mean the other side of town wasn’t aware. Fear had never been a factor in the older males life. He had protection in each direction he looked, but after the crime he had committed - he wasn’t so sure that he was safe anymore.

cold knuckles rap against the door, bitten by the CHILL of the air. the same air that was working through her clothing; her sweater. leggings. air that was causing a cloud of smoke to pool passed parted lips. and it’s with a SHIVERING breath that hand CLUTCHES to the bag at her side. that eyes stare at the door in anticipation; as though STARING would make him move any faster.
but a voice breaks through the metal; MUFFLED and distant. a sigh and laurel opts to ignore it; to wait until he opens the door before answering. but only a beat passes and he asks again, making it CLEAR that waiting would be useless. she hardly feels the roll of her eyes; the deep breath taken before she speaks.
“ it’s LAUREL. ” she answers, IMPATIENT and cold. a beat passing and with the door still closed, she realizes he doesn’t know who she is. “ annalise sent me. i’m here to talk about your case — ”
