( minsu to doha ) “i’m scared.”
prompt: soft angst startersstatus: acceptingfor: @cloudninc
during the course of their rather unconventional marriage, there had always been a disconnect between doha and minsu—the lack of any emotional connection, or the sharing of emotions during tough times. their situation wasn’t easy after all, he had so much on his plate for his age and she had been thrust into his life, as he was hers. it had taken much adjustment and a silent pact of just dealing with the situation and never really talking about it.
she had fell into an easy role of wife, showing up when needed, caring after him quietly even though she was sure he never really noticed—she wasn’t even sure if minsu had ever known that she had feelings for him at one point, though it had dulled down into a strange sort of fondness instead of any kind of love.so while she had bitter feelings towards him about their marriage falling apart, she tried not to hold grudges too much.
there was eunjae to consider too, after all.
eunjae had been the one thing to come out of their marriage that would make doha go through all of it again. eunjae was the reason she had the courage to finally ask for a divorce, and eunjae was the reason doha had really been able to see how much minsu cared for their daughter, even if she only cried when he tried to get close to her.
and so his confession—letting her in for a rare moment, was something doha strangely treasured.this small moment of vulnerability that he never showed her was new, and unfamiliar, but welcome. “being a parent is scary,” she responds, not wanting to overreact to him. “when i found out i was pregnant, it was terrifying. we had never even discussed family planning, and then all of a sudden i was pregnant, and we were going to be parents.
“it’ll take time for her to get used to you, but she will. i want her to love you as her father. i want both of you to become close.” she pulls his arm gently so he can face her, adjusting the collar on his coat, his suit jacket underneath, the way she did often times when they were married. she won’t ever admit it, but there are times where she misses him—just having another person around, having somebody to sleep next to, even if they were so emotionally disconnected. “make sure you eat well, take your vitamins and try and get some sleep. just because i’m not there to coax you into it doesn’t mean you can go back to being an extreme workaholic.”
“even though i’m not there anymore doesn’t mean you’re alone. eunjae and i are always going to be within reach. we’re not going anywhere. so don’t be scared.”

“you deserve more.” / ;)) from jiwon
prompt: soft angst startersstatus: acceptingfor: @pecvlarity
noah knows her life is far from what it could be, what it had the potential to be. she wasn’t a genius but her grades were good enough when she was still in school where if she had just had more time to focus she could have gone to a really good college and been farther along in a better career by now, or at least working for a bigger company. but things didn’t turn out that way, chasing after her younger brother and trying to mind two parents who should have been taking care of her and not the other way around.
she’d gone to great lengths to keep the not so respectable sides of her family hidden away and planned to keep it that way, but every so often things got out of hand and situations she couldn’t keep under wraps slipped between her fingers and out into the world. most times she could handle the level of embarrassment, but having jiwon witness some of it today, having him see some of her hardship that she tried to keep from him, was enough to make her want to hide from him for months.
she isn’t sure if it’s the cold bursts of air hitting her in the face, or the fact that she’s just sick and tired of everybody telling her about how she deserves more,or how her life was a pity and it was a shame thing turned out the way they did. and now even jiwon, when she needed him most, seemed to think the same way when it came to the two of them and what they were, or weren’t yet.
“it makes me uncomfortable when you say things like that.” she stares out into the neighborhood, shivering a bit from the wind. “it’s not fair,” she says with a bit of disappointment. “on a day like today where all i want is you to just be yourself and grumble at me about needing to be less forgiving, you say that.”
she looks at him, a bit lost for words. “what do you think i deserve? some knight in shining armor to whisk me away from my troubles? flowers? expensive gifts?” she can’t help the sad smile that finds her way to her face and fades just as fast. “what if i all want is some grumpy guy who can’t stay out of fights, and always nags at me for being too nice, and walks me home everyday? what if who you are is enough for me?”
she doesn’t really expect much of an answer, and in a sense she doesn’t want one. her body suddenly feels tired with the events of the day, and she feels the need to sleep. “you’re bad today,” she mumbles, gazing at him for a few moments, but looking away when he notices. “you’re really bad today, but i still don’t want to be mad at you.”

IT’S OKAY TO BE 18+ AND NOT BE INTO SMUT. it’s okay to be uncomfortable with smutting in general. if your ship/rp partner can’t understand that, they’re not worth your time.
i like sweet boys who are tall and have warm hearts
Date a boy who doesn’t realize when you’re flirting with him, and gets really flustered when he realizes
(eye twitches) i wish people would just play older fcs instead of aging some of these kids to be way older than they are because they want said muse to fit into a certain occupation or just shoving a muse who is way below age into an occupation you don’t reach anywhere close to til your late twenties and on

goeun hates how right he is. she thought she’d been doing a pretty good job of acting as if she was listening while, in reality, all she could focus on was the flute of champagne in her hand and how quickly she could drink it without her mother scolding her for being inappropriate. instead of having the decency to at least act sheepish, though, she narrows her eyes at him and prepares for a fight. “don’t do me any favors,” she mumbles, arms crossed over her chest in a defensive posture.
the fact that his idea doesn’t sound half bad infuriates her. she wants him to be stupid so she can dislike him more, but then he has to open his dumb (handsome) mouth. she wrinkles her nose at the word date, but reluctantly agrees. “lead the way.” and then, deciding to be a bit playful in the hopes that it’ll catch him off guard, the corners of her lips turn upward in a sly little smirk. “oppa.” she doesn’t use honorifics very often, especially with people she dislikes. but seeing the look on his face when she says it will most definitely be worth the cringe factor.
gabriel couldn’t understand why his mom and goeun’s mom thought the two of them were a good match in any way possible. he was sure goeun had good qualities somewhere deep, deep, down under all that malice and sarcasm she had saved up especially for him. but no matter what he tried to do to try and keep some kind of peace between them. after the first few meetings where she practically tried to murder him with her eyes alone, he had decided that no matter what, this wasn’t going to work. he’d rather stay single.
hearing her agree (thank you god, this one time, thank you) makes him sigh a breath of relief internally, and he goes to move to lead when the word out of her mouth makes him stop some in an awkward smile. he almost wants to glare but he can see eyes of his mother’s friends on him, knowing they’ll be reporting his every move to his mother like a pack of worker bees. she’s doing this to provoke him, he knows it—goeun had never even called him that on a casual level. with the weird grimace still on his face, he glances down at the smaller woman, doing one better and pulling her by her waist up against him. “but of course,” he says, “honey.” hoping his sweet tone will make her feel uncomfortable. regardless he awkwardly tries to guide her towards the back, still wanting to glare at her.

Kim Doha, it was a pretty name fitting for her ; Jinho idly thought. At least now they are introduced and had started a small step in actually getting to know each other. While he should have all the right to freak out about all of these, he just couldn’t find it within himself to do so. What’s the use anyway? There is no crying over spilled milk. Him freaking out about his sudden change of marital status won’t change back even if he lies down on the floor and whine all day. What is left for him and Doha to do is figure out a way around this.
Though on the other hand, Jinho didn’t really regret whatever actions that they have done during their night of debauchery. Kim Doha is a… beautiful woman. And from what he had got from her since this morning ; she seems to be good person. If their circumstances were a bit different and they have met in a different setting, the surgeon won’t even hesitate to date her.
Doha’s question pulled him out from his inner thoughts, eyes blinked at the woman. He wasn’t sure how to answer her, because he doesn’t know how to answer. Adapting a contemplating look, Jinho tried to remember even the tiniest btit from last night – hoping to get at least a semblance of answer for her. But his mind was nothing but a void.
“ I think we should look at your call records. I mean… ” he grabs his phone and scrolled through his log. As each swipe of his finger, Jinho’s eyes grew marginally larger. He covered his agape mouth and looked at Doha. “ My parents… I think they know. ”
the key now, doha knows, is keeping all of this under control by the two of them. sure it’s an awkward way to start any day—one night stands in themselves are already awkward the day after, finding out you did something as reckless and stupid as get married is even more awkward not to mention shocking. if they could at least handle damage control, they may be able to take care of the situation without nobody in their lives knowing and having this unfortunate event buried forever.
while jinho looks at his phone, doha finds hers, opening the lockscreen with slightly shaking fingers and having her heart drop right into her stomach as she sees an astronomical amount of texts and missed calls—and her stomach drops even lower as jinho drops what’s even worse news on top of it. she lets out a shaky breath as she scrolls through the text messages her younger sisters have sent her and the ones she sent herself when she was drunk—not only has she opened her big mouth about it, there are blurry and awkward pictures included, with her sisters reacting with shock.
and she knows one of them is bound to tell her parents. and jinho’s parents know. “my sisters know and they’ll probably tell my parents since they’ve been trying hard to get me married.” she looks at the male with a look that could only be described as pure and utter horror, mixed with dread. “we can’t even hide it if we wanted to. we can’t—” her hand reaches out to grab onto his arm, “we can’t tell them we did this on accident. my parents take marriage too seriously and they’ll....i don’t even want to think about what they’ll say if i confess this was an accident. i might as well move overseas.”
“we have to lie. about everything.”

it’s almost as if seungyeon is sitting with her mother, the older womand oing something on purpose to embarrass her. every word that comes out of dasol’s lips makes her cheeks turn an even deeper shade of pink, her eyes growing to near-perfect circles. “can you please keep your voice down?” she asks, leaning across the table and whispering (but only slightly). “i don’t need the whole world knowing that i’m probably a little bit gay and also i haven’t had sex in two and a half years.” she leans back in her seat, brushing her bangs out of her face and taking a long sip of her drink. she needs to cool down somehow; it makes her wonder briefly if she could order just a plain old bowl of ice water to dip her face in. that’d probably cause a scene, though, so she decides against it. she thinks she’s finally got her blushing under control when dasol speaks again, asking her questions about her type. as if seungyeon was supposed to know that! “i – i don’t know?” she murmurs, eyes looking anywhere but at the other woman. “i just like. people who are nice. and kind. and who won’t… push me too much.” she feels so pathetic, getting matchmaking services from someone as cool as dasol. she glances up at her, finally making eye contact. “so you’re – what, b-bisexual?” it’s the first time she’s said the word out loud.
dasol almost finds herself laughing at how flustered and embarrassed seungyeon seems to be with how straight to the point she is. it was slightly in part to it just being a natural part of her personality, but also to the fact that to a degree she enjoyed watching people squirm a little bit. not in an evil or malicious way, but in a teasing manner that she really only brought around those who she felt she could trust or those who she felt could handle her level of odd humor. “there’s nothing wrong with having an active or non active sex life—people are just too uptight about how often or not they’re getting anything at all.” she rolls her eyes, arms crossed and watching the smaller girl with amusement. she listens to her talk for a bit, finally nodding when seungyeon seems to finally get the point she had been trying to get across. “i realized i liked girls just as much as guys in my first year of college and just never really looked back.” she slings back a drink, and then another, letting her memories take her back to when life was just a bit less complicated than it was now. “it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. it opens the dating pool to a lot more than some of these shitty men,” she snorts. “but how do you not know your own type? girls, guys whatever? you don’t know what kind of person you want to date? are you waiting to date before you get laid?” she rounds off a series of questions with a pointed look at seungyeon. “you should have told me all this sooner, jeez.”
