Blair can’t help but snicker in amusement at the childish response he was given, hands soon moving to cup his cousin’s cheeks and squish them lightly in a playful motion. ‘ What’s that ? You’re cute, you said ? I know ! I agree ! ‘ He answered.

Despite his best efforts, Kyouhei was unable to stop a blush from touching his cheeks.  “S-Stop, Blair-nii!” he huffed, puffing up his cheeks.  “I’m not cute at all! I’m tough!”

‘ As the saying goes, you should respect your elders then. ‘ He can’t help but scoff as he pinches his cousin’s nose, though it’s more just to mess with the younger teasing him than anything else. ‘ Hmm… I guess it isn’t ? It’s just not my style, I don’t think. Cute innocent kids like you are more suited for it, though. ‘

Blair liked to believe and tell himself that the person people knew as Touya didn’t exist, that there wasn’t even a sliver of the boy left even in the pit of his mind that was never brought to light… Though he wished that were true, the fact that there was still glimmers of that selfless boy he used to be was evident in front of those that he cared about. Everyone could see it but him in the end when he was so focused on the negative.

A professional pessimist he had turned into over the years.

‘ R-Right… Well, that’s good. I hope I won’t disappoint then ? ‘ The coquette responded, lifting a hand to rub at the back of his neck in near embarrassment before glancing around.

‘ So is there any specific place you wanna go ? Because I got enough money on me for anything – !!‘ So long as they could talk while they ate, he supposed. He wanted to get to know this cousin of his he never met till now as well.

Blair seemed nice.  Of course poor Kyouhei didn’t know any better.  He didn’t know how much he had been hurt, nor how many things he had done...how many things he had done that Kyouhei would be repulsed by.  

But Kyouhei didn’t need to know that.  Maybe someday he would learn about it, but right now, at this very moment, he needed no such information.  All he had to know was that Blair was here.  For the first time he was here.

And Kyouhei felt safe.

“O-Oh...”  He was caught off guard by Blair’s question.  “Um, I...I don’t know any places around here,” he admitted nervously.  “Any place you like to go to is fine...”

Ack!  He was so nervous...He was excited to be with Blair but, honestly, he knew nothing about him!

A contemplative hum was given in response to Kyouhei’s suggestion, staring down at the pokemon in his arms. He mulled over the name, repeating it in his head before gently patting the purrloin atop his head. ‘ Noir, huh – ? That’s a pretty nice name, I think ! ‘ The coquette answered finally with a smile. ‘ I think we’ll go with that for this little guy ~ ‘

Kyouhei couldn’t help but smile at Blair’s own grin.  Ah...he had done a good thing.  He actually liked the name!  “Hehe, I’m glad you like it, Blair-nii!” the young boy giggled.  “I-I hope I can visit him a lot...If that’s okay!”  He slid forward a bit, daring to pet the purrloin a bit, too.  The pokemon purred in response, which only made the boy even happier than he already was (if it was possible)!

“C-Can I really?”  Kyouhei’s eyes immediately lit up at the very thought.  “Oh, oh!! How about…Blair Jr.!!”

‘ Pfft – Haha ! We can’t give him the same name as m, ‘cause I’d get confused ! ‘ He was glad that Kyouhei admires him so much to the point, but he definitely wasn’t going to give the cute little guy such an unfortunate name. ‘ Come onnnn, think real hard for big bro, okay ? ♫ ‘

“A-Ah....that is true,” Kyouhei stammered.  He hadn’t exactly thought that through....But what could he name the pokemon?  He had to think of something cool - he couldn’t let down Blair, after all!  “Um...h-how about Noir...?”  Kyouhei didn’t really know what that word meant, but he had heard it from some travelers he had met from Kalos.  So it must mean something cool!
