i know this is not what i usually post, but please consider donating to venezuela if you can or at least help spreading the word. two 7.1+ earthquakes hit and thousands are missing. thousands have lost their lives, their homes, and/or their loved ones.
the people of venezuela are not prepared in the slightest to deal with these extreme emergencies because of their heavily instable government. right now, it has mostly been up to the people and volunteers to find those that are missing and treat their injuries with very little aid. There are countries willing to help, but they need our help too because the aftermath has been too severe.
if you are in florida, there are many places accepting donations, especially the city of doral and other non-profits (i reposted some info on that on my account as well).
if you are not in florida and you can donate please look into places near you accepting donations or donate in GoFundMe
some items needed are:
• Non-Perishables (foods)
• New Blankets
• Water
• Pet Supplies
• Hygiene Kits, Toiletries, etc.
• Cots, Sleeping Bags, etc.
• Batteries (very important)
• Protective Gear (Gloves, KN95 masks, etc.)
• Professional First-Aid Kits (gauzes, bandages, etc.)
—> i got these from the City of Miramar on instagram, but I also recommend to donate menstrual products and shampoos. also flashlights, gloves, and batteries are essential!! civilians are looking for others under all the rubble on their own in the dark.

if you wish to donate clothing, look into the organization you are donating it to because some do not accept used clothing but rather new ones with tags for proof (if you want to donate used clothing please have them be in good condition, i know that seems obvious but i did some volunteering and youd be surprised at what we saw sometimes)

in case you haven't heard, parts of venezuela were recently hit by a series of earthquakes, affecting communities across the country.
as venezuela is my home country, all of this hits especially close to home. thankfully, my family and loved ones are safe since they were in cities not as severely affected. however, many others have not been as fortunate and are now facing the aftermath of these events.
years of political and economic instability have left many communities with limited resources and infrastructure, making it even more difficult to respond to emergencies like this. there are reports of people who remain missing, and many families are still waiting for news about their loved ones. rescue efforts have been made even more difficult by shortages of equipment, ambulances, and other emergency resources needed to respond to a disaster of this scale.
if you're able to, please consider sharing information, supporting verified relief efforts, or simply helping spread awareness about what is happening.
