So I didn't tell very many people this, but this November I decided to do NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) where you attempt to write 50,000 words in a month. And I say attempt because I didn't even come close. I got to 20,550, which isn't even halfway. But you know what? I still feel pretty dang good about it. I have a full-time job, am an artist, and am expecting a baby in 2 1/2 weeks. I wrote a lot more than I normally would, and I wrote a little bit almost every day, and that, I think, is the real key. I tend to not own the part of me that loves to write and tell stories in the same way that I own being an artist, but it is still an important part of me, and I want to hone that. This, I think, was a good step in that direction. So cheers to NaNoWriMo and the stories to come! #nanowrimo #letswritethis #writer #artist #prego
