Question for all my cottagecore, goblincore, grandmacore, crow and ghostcore peeps. Or any aesthetic peeps into cottages and forests.

If you had a cottage/tiny house of some sort. What is the one thing/ key element that would really set the scene gor you? Or what you think is a key element that you just need to have if you did live in one?

One key item I imagine for my "dream cottage" would have to be having a lot of flower pots/plants around the house, a assortment of different table cloths, and a book case or cubby to put clothes in.

i really want a kitchen herb garden. like,, a cute matching series of pots that i could grow garlic, rosemary, coriander, basil, parsley, chillis, mint, thyme, etc inside on my windowsill, or possibly like a ‘hanging’ herb garden. i’ve also always really really loved the look of copper saucepans, but i’m honestly torn between getting copper saucepans or getting the gorgeously patterned brightly coloured enamel ones. also, the style of decor - i’d love for the wooden cabinets etc to be carved slightly gothically/medievally. <3

Dark Academia for Brown People

 Most people, when they think of dark academia is books (that’s the whole point) and ancient languages such as Latin or Ancient Greek. I’m here to tell you that you all are SLEEPING on brown culture. Love that is conveyed in the languages of Persian and Urdu (my native language) crosses borders. Sure, Shakespeare and Sappho wrote great pieces of literature but the stories and poems of Rumi, Manto, Hafez and Iqbal have a special place in my heart. 

Some of my favourites are:- (all are translated)

As someone who goes to an English-Medium school, we are always taught to converse in English, see the language as a part of yourself but deny a place to Urdu. As I grow older, I have come to appreciate my identity and so should all my fellow brown people. Take pride in your mother tongue.
