@mellowwangxianenthusiast
will you be participating in chreon week? 🥺
LOL no the prompts are way too rigid for me personally. I think the creators had good intentions but at the end of the day they wrote lovey dovey prompts for what THEY wanted to see for chreon with literally no room for like... idk... angst... hurt/comfort.... archive warnings. yk. the bread and butter of resident evil shipping. bc they live in a truly cruel and evil world filled with actual monsters and all their friends are dead or dying. I even asked about alternate prompts and was.... womp womp- outright ignored. and the whole thing being put together by a strict anti just doesn't really align with me and what I write and the way I interact with fandom. like the organizer has 'pro shipper DNI' in their bio.... so I simply won't be interacting.
I don't even have any super gnarly Resident Evil ships. I just personally think if you're pro-censorship to the point of urging your followers to block pro-shippers, you don't really belong in the space. Promoting your own fics on AO3 whilst being pro-censorship is like.... laughably terrible.

RE9 SPOILERS
LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!!!! LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!!!!!!!
RE9 SPOILERS
CHREON FANS MAKE SOME FUCKING NOISE!!!!!!
Of all the things I expected in RE9, Chreon crumbs was honestly not one of them but this is gonna fuel me for the next decade. On a serious note though, I think this speaks volumes about the level of trust they have in each other and just how impactful Chris finding Leon in Colorado was to Leon's emotional well-being. Him going from isolated, withdrawn, and wanting to be left alone to lick his wounds to willingly asking for help and eager to connect with Chris is absolutely beautiful, and I love the details so much. Leon's "I'll stop you as many times as I have to," being a direct callback to their conversation at the end of VD where Chris tells him they'll keep doing this as long as they have to is adorable. I also love that even though Chris wasn't the one to pull Leon out of the building (likely purely due to Capcom inner-working bullshit reasons it seems), he's clearly very concerned and on the comms with Umber Eyes specifically asking if Leon's ok. We never do find out what Chris' "secret message" for Leon is though... much to think about.
AND THE END SCENE??? Leon smiling while talking about he's sure he's going to see Chris and talking to Sherry about him is fucking adorable, and this also means Sherry & Chris seem to know each other post RE6 too.
🤫 just good friends
Kagehina childhood friends AU where they go to the same elementary school and Shouyou notices Tobio is always mostly alone, the other kids make fun of him for not playing videogames or reading manga, and no one's really interested in playing volleyball with him.
So of course Shouyou takes it upon himself to befriend him, and because volleyball is Tobio’s language, he decides to play with him.
At first they just play around with the ball, and Shouyou still doesn't really get what's so fun about it, until one day Kazuyo takes them both to watch a practice match for the team he coaches. That's when Shouyou starts truly trying to learn the fundamentals of volleyball.
Some more time passes, they train together everyday, and eventually join the same kids' team. Shouyou loves playing with Tobio, but he still doesn't quite get his passion. Tobio lives and breathes volleyball. Shouyou plays because it's fun, and because he just likes being with Tobio.
Things start changing a little once they get to middle school. Things at Kitagawa are much more competitive, no longer the fun club Shouyou was used to. Even his brilliant Tobio doesn't make the team immediately, so what hope does he have? He's already shorter than most other kids his age.
So for a little while Shouyou thinks about quitting. He can still be Tobio’s best friend even if they're not playing volleyball competitively. And then one day, Shouyou passes by an electronics shop and watches the Little Giant soar at Nationals.
That's the moment things finally click for him. The moment he finally understands what Tobio has been trying to tell him all along. That he doesn't have to be tall to play volleyball. That he can fly.
It's also the moment Shouyou decides he will get really, really good at volleyball, and one day he'll become even better than Tobio.
Oh whoa I forgot about posting on tumblr.....i need to move everything over here
Miya Atsumu is /not/ ticklish.
When he lets out a laugh when Hinata suddenly grabs his waist for a hug, its just cause he was happy they won the match. Hes especially not ticklish when he's drunk and cant stop giggling as he and Bokuto lean against each other drunk from the bar
Atsumu isn't ticklish when Meian takes a bet from Inunaki that he can't lift Atsumu above his head. Atsumu isn't ticklish despite Osamu and Suna telling the whole team when they're at lunch at Onigiri Miya. But maybe, just maybe, Atsumu is ticklish when he and Omi are having their weekly movie night and Omis fingers brush against his waist (totally on accident) and he watches in delight as his setter (definitely not crush) let's out a quick giggle. And maybe Sakusa Kiyoomi is the only one Miya Atsumu doesn't deny being ticklish too.
Kagehina Hurt/Comfort
Hinata had his bad days, but no one had to know that, it was good everyone assumed that Hinata was a walking ray of sunshine twenty-four seven. He was good at hiding it from everyone when he was having one. He only had one slip up, and it had been a bad one. Brazil had been hard on Hinata, harder than he ever admitted. Long-Distance with Kageyama made it even harder, he missed him, missed having someone who understood him. His slip up caused a lot of problems, after all, he had tried to break up with Kageyama on a phone call which was abruptly ended when Hinata started having a panic attack, so he hadn't heard his boyfriend tell him he was flying out. When Hinata heard Pedro talking to someone the next night, he had assumed it was one of his classmates so he paid it no mind and continued to hide under his weighted blanket until his door slammed open and he was met with his supposed to be ex-boyfriend pulling him out from under the blanket and in his arms. It was the first time since Hinata had left Japan that he truly felt like he was home. Kageyama had used a week's worth of sick days to be out there with him and since they did play at least a little bit of volleyball everyday it wouldn't make-
Kageyama's coach that upset, but mostly they stayed in Hinatas room and Kageyama held him through his crying and apology. Kageyama listened to him when he was explaining how alone he felt and how homesick he was. Had told him that he could visit more often or pay for Hinata to fly home at least one weekend a month. Hinata turned out the offers, not wanting either of them to be held back because of him, he needed to get stronger so he could face his boyfriend on the court once again. But when Kageyama left to go back home...it hit Hinata harder than he anticipated, so when he got back from the airport, he cried hard when he found the pile of clothes Kageyama had left- for him along with bottles of his cologne, body wash, and even a brand new stick of the deodorant he wore. It didn't replace him being there but it helped a little. And Kageyama did fly out at least one weekend a month, so he always had something close to look forward to. When Hinata came back home to Japan and joined the Jackals, things got better, it was easier to manage his thoughts surrounded by so many familiar faces. And Kageyama was just a train ride away this time.
One day this will be a fic
Suna felt the sigh leave his lips as he picked up his pencil and started sketching the man who had been plaguing his dreams for the last year and a half. Always the same man, every dream. Suna didn't have a name for him, only a face, but he found himself feeling
Empty everytime he woke up from the dreams. Like he was missing part of himself. So, doing what helps clear his mind, he painted him. He had been for the last six months, painting the man every time he woke from the dreams. His art studio slowly started to have the stranger fill the walls next to his other works. He could never bring himself to sell them, even when offered more than any other painting had sold for. It felt...wrong to give /him/ away to strangers. As he sketched the outline of his face, Suna's mind began to wander back to the dream. It had been so realistic it almost felt like a memory. They were in a park, having a picnic. He fed the man a strawberry and laughed when the man blushed. And just as he started to say the mans
Name, he woke up. It happened everytime he tried, perhaps it was because his subconscious knew he could never give the angel in his dreams a proper name. Or because his subconscious loved to torment him. When the bell to his studio rang, he stood up and set his pencil down on the easel and ran a hand through his hair. He was rolling up the cuffs of his sleeves as he walked down the stairs, not looking up, "Can I help you with something?"
As soon as the question left his lips, he looked up and he froze in his spot, staring into two identical faces of the man he had just been sketching, but only one had the right hair color. He swallowed and took a tiny step back, discreetly pinching his wrist to see if this was a wasn't. It wasnt. "Yea, can ya explain why my brothers face is on the wall?" The closer one nodded with his chin towards the painting they were looking at and Suna's eyes drifted towards the brother in question before the first one stepped in front of him, blocking his view. "Yer a stalker or somethin?" Suna bristled at the accusation, though he couldn't truly be mad at the assumption. "No. I just- I've never seen either of you before in my life. Honestly."
He got a skeptical look in response, which he couldn't blame them for, if someone had painted his exact likeness and then claimed they had never seen him before, he'd call them crazy and a terrible liar. "So yer expectin' us ta believe ya just drew my brother from yer imagination?" Suna took a deep breath, trying to come up with the best response he could without pissing them off. "Because that's the truth. If I had known who he was I would have put his /name/ on the pieces"
All he got was a scoff in response, and he watched, frozen still, as the one he could see turned around and grabbed his brother's arm, pulling him back towards the door. "C'mon let's go, this guys a creep" Suna raced forward just as the door opened, stopping a few feet away
From the two. "Wait! Before you go- can i- can I at least know your name?" "Don't tell him anything!! He's just a stalker" The man from his paintings and dreams just looked at him with a tilted head, analyzing him for what felt like an eternity. "Atsumu, my names Atsumu."
Kagehina Hurt/Comfort
Hinata was picking at his lip again, Kageyama was sure he didn't even realize he was doing it as he sat on the couch, the TV playing as background noise for them as Kageyama started cooking dinner. He watched his boyfriend, worry evident in his eyes as Hinata started picking at the skin by the nail on his thumb. Kageyama furrowed his brows and stopped cutting the chicken, quickly washing his hands before going over to his boyfriend, kneeling in front of him and gently taking his hands in his, his voice soft
"Baby, what's wrong?" Coming out of a daze, Hinata shook his head at his voice, blinking a few times. "Nothing! Nothing, 'm okay, is dinner already done??" Kageyama squinted at him a little before lifting his hand to pull Hinatas lower lip from his teeth. "Not yet my love-"
He stopped himself from pushing Hinata to tell him, knowing it would just drive his boyfriend further into himself, instead choosing to lean up to kiss his forehead, "Come help me with chopping the vegetables while I do the chicken?" He wanted to give him something to do with his
Hands, hoping to alleviate the urge to pick at his skin and lips. He's greeted with a bright smile, one not quite reaching his boyfriends eyes, and he stands up, gently pulling Hinata up with him and guiding him into the kitchen. Cooking dinner was a quiet affair and eating was
Just as quiet. It was only when Kageyama had gotten out of the shower and was in their shared bedroom pulling on pajama pants, that Hinata spoke, his voice giving away the anxiety he was feeling. "I feel like somethings going to happen...this feeling won't go away and-
And i feel restless, like if I stop /doing/ something, then the bad thing is going to happen." Kageyama joined his boyfriend on the bed, gently coaxing him to sit between his legs, his back to the setters chest. Once the wing spiker was completely in his boyfriends hold then did he start to respond, trying to soothe his anxiety, "did this start this morning or when you got home?" "During practice today..." Kageyama hummed in response, kissing the back of Hinatas head. "Anything particular or odd happen at practice?" He wanted to try and help his boyfriend find the root of the anxiety he was feeling, then he would help guide him out of it. "Nothing I can think of...we watched some old games and the line up for practice matches was handed out-"
It was then that Hinata frozen and Kageyama gently put his hand over his boyfriends, stopping him from picking at his skin again. "Okay...so the practice matches. What are you worried about?" Hinata didn't respond at first, and when he did, his voice was strained, so Kageyama
Gently squeezed him in reassurance. "We- we have three practice matches away- so I won't be able to come back home or see you for a few weeks." Kageyama let out a knowing hum, moving one hand to lightly stroke the smaller man's stomach. Ever since Hinata got back from Brazil
He would get anxious about not seeing Kageyama. It had been something they were working on, he himself also having some anxiety not seeing his boyfriend often. "We'll facetime every night and as soon as your back in Osaka, I'll take the train down Friday night after practice-
It'll be just like we do every week, I promise my love. I'll be just a phone call away and if it gets really bad, I'll come to you I swear" Hinata squeezed Kageyamas hands at that, "Tobi- I don't want you to get distracted just cause of me, I'm not-"
"You are worth it. I'll be more distracted knowing you were in distress and I did nothing to help you" he interrupted, pressing another to kiss to the back of Hinatas neck. "We will take it one day at a time, remember?" He smiled softly when Hinata nodded and he began slowly
Moving their postion so they were laying their sides, pulling the blanket over them, his arm wrapped protectively over Hinatas side. "One day at a time Sho" he repeated whispering as he started softly rubbing circles on his stomach. "We'll facetime every night?" Hinata asked quietly, "Every night, I pinky promise" The pinky promise made Hinata laugh a little and he curled his pinky around Kageyamas when he offered it. "I love you, Tobi" Even after dating for six years, hearing that still brought butterflies to his stomach, "I love you more, sunshine"
Kagehina Headcannon
Tobio being careful to not wake his boyfriend who had gotten into bed only three hours prior as he himself gets up to go to work at six am. For a brief moment he thinks he's succeeded until he feels movement behind him and arms wrapping around him-
The butterflies in his stomach made him smile as he heard Hinatas sleep voice asking him to come back to bed and sleep with him more. All it took was for him to give his boyfriend a soft kiss and a promise to come back as soon as possible to get him to fall back to sleep
Even after two years of dating, the butterflies never went away anytime his boyfriend did something cute (which was everything he did) and that was something Kageyama would never complain about, seriously at least
