Welcome to Melodia Fun Facts, where we do, in fact, share fun facts about HarmoKnight! From stuff that's easily overlooked, to things you need to search the game files for, we have it all! And we're accepting submissions for things that even I might have looked over! Expect fun facts every now and then!

These facts are all either in game, or mentioned by Game Freak themselves! [mostly in-game facts though, but do expect some outside of the game!]

All fact submissions must be things either official or seen in game.

Fact submissions must be mentioned as a fact. [ex: Fun HarmoKnight fact! (insert fact here)] If it's not a fact, please specify so I don't get confused!

Fun HarmoKnight Facts! #10

We're in the double digits now! Whoo! Anywhoo, you may already know that the Legendary Staff that Tempo uses pulsates to the beat of the song... but did you know that the UI does the same as well? Because it does! It's a pretty handy indicator to see how fast the song goes, so use it to your advantage to time your actions right! [BPMs are included for funsies! Also yes i did have to grab a metronome recording off youtube for warrior vs winterwulf why do you ask]

Fun HarmoKnight Facts! #9

Although not canon at all, the new Teraleak shows some lost content in HarmoKnight. In one of the files, there's a list of each character, their instrument reference, and ages! One of these is clearly not like the other.

Making the executive decision to make this the only teraleak related fact, mostly cause it's already waaay too late to delete this now but also this REALLY wasn't meant for the publics eye. Also because I want to respect those affected by the leak since there was some pretty personal stuff in there that really soured the whole leak.

HOWEVER to make up for this i will give you all another fun fact that I think is really cool and very easy to miss since its always on any stage :0 for any newcomers who wanna stick around--buckle up, cause I have so many more facts that don't need an entire terabyte worth of leaks to prove thier worth! :D [No seriously I have too many, I think right now I have about 20 facts written down? And I havent added any before the teraleak happened, soooo hehehe]

[and of course, please check out harmoknight itself if you haven't--its a really good game and I'd love for it to have more recognition :D]

Fun HarmoKnight Facts! #8

Taking a closer look at Gargan's model/textures, you can see light scratches on his model. This very much implies that the Noizoids are made of some sort of metal. From where they get the scratches? Not sure!

Despite what the game tells you about Tyko and Cymbi's controls being A and X respectively, you can actually control them with A and B! You can also use X instead of B for any character, maybe in the case that one of the buttons go kaput.... Here's a video showcasing it! Though, I think it's a little scuffed... Please mind the background noises!

Fun HarmoKnight Facts! #6

On older versions of the now deceased Citra, running HarmoKnight would cause some of the screen to cut off weirdly. Either 15% of the screen would be a black/grey bar, or this can happen.

Thankfully, this ends up being fixed in later versions of Citra, but even then, Citra ended up being taken down, so...make of this as you will???

On the chibi sprites, Woodwin's is the only one that's slightly off from his actual colors, as his skin is paler on his chibi sprite compared to his actual one seen in his render.

Fun HarmoKnight Facts! #4

In the first cutscene of the game, Tempo is seen with the headband he's given when he's sent off to Symphony City for the Legendary Staff. [see the very small bit of grey? that's the headband!]

The first cutscene, however, takes place before Tempo sets off on his journey. In fact--he's supposed to have his training headband.

It's a little tricky to notice this since its very fast [and a very small detail], so I wouldn't be surprised if this was an oversight!

Fun HarmoKnight Facts! #3

Out of all of the [main] characters in HarmoKnight, Tyko is the only one who has a different name in Japanese, that being Jinbei. To my knowledge of looking this up, Jinbei is a type of summer comfy wear in Japanese.

This may be due to the fact that Tyko's name is from the Japanese drum - "Taiko." Putting it into katakana would spell out taiko, which doesn't give much room for any sort of musical name shenanigans. That or Tyko just looks like the guy to wear comfy clothes in the summer.

[Truth be told, I don't actually know what Jinbei could possibly be meaning in the context of music or HarmoKnight. If you can figure it out, please let me know!]

Fun HarmoKnight Facts! #2

On the stage "Wind-Chime Chasm", getting a Great will have Lyra say "I will admit, you are indeed 'totally cool.'" This either means one of two things: Lyra doesn't know slang, or she's absolutely terrible with it. Either option is funny, honestly.

[this is specifically in the US version, by the way! the uk version has her say "That was quite cool... There! I said it!" which really isn't as funny as her not knowing what slang is, now is it?]

Fun HarmoKnight Facts! #1

With the exception of Tappy and Cymbi, Woodwin is the shortest character in HarmoKnight, even with his hat on. Tempo is just barely taller than Woodwin if you measure the two of them with their accessories on.

This also applies in their official art!
