I had a revelation. I feel like i look better, but i don't actually feel better. Old worries are replaced with new ones.

Casually gaining weight as i'm eating below 1000 calories daily for a week. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I ate 2100 yesterday and lowkey freaking out. You know i'm supposed to weigh-in on Monday. Good thing i was planning to fast anyway yay...

Who lost half a pound after eating 1300 cals? Yep baby. It just works!

Did i say that switching units from kgs to lbs was a gamechanger for me? Like, what do you mean, i lost whole 0.5lb? That's crazy!

Jokes on me, i only ate around 1300 (i'm trying a new calorie counting app so i'm lowkey tracking this stuff), which isn't even my maintenance for all i know, it's a slight deficit. I've been so waiting to eat some chocolate but realized i was full after normal day of eating. Man that's great.

Food noise never disappears but i don't even feel any guilt regarding today, actually slightly proud?

Apparently i'm 1lb away from my monthy goal. Are we so locked in or what?!

Sometimes i'm thinking we're fucked either way, having an ed and living in this modern world that values superficial things. You either compromise your mental and physical health to look conventionally attractive, or you stop giving a fuck and risk becoming a social outcast. It just seems unfair, you know?

Portion control babyyy, i enjoy not having to count calories and relying on volume instead. Some foods i'm eating are probably still quite high-calorie, but i don't really mind it? Feels like i've achieved another goal by actually making sure it's just the right amount of food for me and honoring my hunger cues by not finishing if i don't want it or having something else later if it wasn't enough.

Under the cut is a photo: avocado, korean carrot (that's how we call them at least, it's just carrot pickled with spices, brine, a touch of oil - really yummy), 3 slices of tofu buried under the rice (combined - palm-sized amount) in peanut sauce and some rice mixture (you know the one that has dried veggies and spices in it and there's instructions on the box)

Devoured half a jar of pickles and finally feeling like a human. This is actually so helpful. I mean, i knew it, but man, i never actually tried just pickles for when i felt hungry. Huh.

I guess i just needed some electrolytes.

Can't be the only one who keeps estimating cals after said "i'm not counting calories" ughhhh

Sometimes i find random clothes in the wardrode and i can never tell why were they abandoned in the first place. Were they lost or i couldn't fit in them back when they were purchased? Because i found undies that were never worn, i don't remember why, i remember buying them last year, right now they fit perfectly.

Mealprep is such a nightmare. I end up wasting food even though i don't buy/make a lot. I take out my normal container and eat only half of it because something's off with my stomach. I wish it was an honest brag, but at this point i can't even enjoy food because i end up having stomach ache a couple of hours after a meal. So i can never really tell if i ate fine or not until after some time.

Taking omeprazol before meals and hoping for the best.

Might be an unpopular tip, but switching to different units of weight measurement helps so much mentally! If your brain is wired for kilograms, you associate certain weights with certain images or you remember yourself being at this weight. Switching to pounds - i have no associations, it's just a number, it doesn't have any positive or negative tones, i just know i want it to gradually decrease.

One of my pet peeves is seeing people dunk their sweets (donuts, cookies) in liquids (coffee, milk, whatever). Like... Why? You get crumbles in your drink and your treat is all soggy, isn't it nice to get a bite and then have it all softened and melted with a drink? Maybe it's just me being weird, no hate to anyone who does it, i just find the act itself kinda mad 😭 I watch WIEIAD compilations because they make me feel "full" but i always end up triggered instead 😭😭😭
