Last summer holiday I was new to painting, so I did the 100 day painting challenge, painting from ref for at least 30min everyday. This holiday, although haven’t done much intense art, I was doing portrait painting every now and then, and looks like this is going to be my goal for this holiday. I’ll be doing a portrait a day from now on, starting from b/w, study some facial structure and hopeful move to colour soon or at least start experimenting with it before semester starts again.

And here’s the struggle town, Design Fundamentals. Darn, might take a break from this subject. Definitely gonna take it easier next year, 3 subjects instead, hopefully have more time to explore and research for each subject.

Character Design Space mercenary, got really exhausted towards the end of the year, didn’t do much for the last few weeks. I’m quite happy with character design in general, somehow overcame my fear in rendering, I think there’s is a visual improvement from W1 and last one.

Can believe it’d end of year again. first of all, Bootcamp.

These are my 2016 S2 Character Design work, realized I never posted any of these anywhere coz they are half finished. I struggled a lot and was always to afraid to admit that I liked them. Now after almost a year, (still struggling on the current character that I’m working on), I can proudly say that I like every single one of them and they were really fun to draw. I hope I can do more of these soon!

Some still-life from last week, I did the teapot first, took me the longest and turned out to be my favourite. Was gonna slack off on Sunday, but it was such a nice arvo and lighting on Melon’s house was so beautiful I couldnt resist.

Some life drawing tonight, really enjoyed drawing clothes. Love the last one, kinda got a bit of samurai vibe, and the curly hair reminds me of Gintoki.
