Random Rant: I promise I love rainy days because it allows me to sit, relax, and think.. I've been really focusing on where I invest my time lately, and the effects of those investments. We all have visions, goals, dreams etc. For those things to be manifested there must be work produced. I'm learning how to be consistent in achieving these goals...of course, while keeping and seeking God first. Not avoiding, yet properly handling distractions, networking, and more. But one bad habit I'm starting to correct is the season of laziness I endure after achieving a goal, and remaining satisfied until I become aggravated. I'm proud to say I'm learning how to practice a consistent work ethic to manifest multiple results throughout the process rather than one every year. It makes life sooo much easier. God grants us daily with unlimited opportunities, but we must realize these opportunities can only become relevant in our lives WITH God, not without Him. Most people read this verse and automatically request materialistic items. But this verse covers that and so much more, if you are hurt, sick, and seek healing..it is possible WITH God, if you need deliverance from a stronghold it is possible WITH GOD. If you feel as though your happy and everything seems to be just right, yet need to be sustained it is possible with God. ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD! #GMLoves

Doubt attributes to the lack of faith; The portrayal of considering a circumstance impossible, rather than possible. In life I've learned that sometimes the power to handle certain circumstances are out of our control. I had to learn to cast each and every care to God in faith, disregarding the feeling of doubt. Once I made the choice, each and every problem I obtained an increase in Faith, knowing that whatever was impossible for me, was now made possible through God. Never allow Doubt, Fear, or the perception of a circumstance make you disregard who God is and His power. Give him everything, and He will cancel all doubt and perform the impossible! #DoubtsAreCancelled #Growing #JustAReminder #GMLoves

Expectations : a strong belief that something will happen or be the case in the future We live in a world which tells us not to expect anything from anyone. Especially within the realm of relationships. (Friendships, Dating, Acquaintances, etc.) I believe that this "trend" of having no expectations for others is only a defense mechanism created to support the fact that it's a possibility chaos may occur because we have chosen to settle and not promoted a standard(s) in these specific relationships. It is proven time and time again that no one, but God is perfect and if anything our fullest expectation should be made with Him. But speaking from person experience sometimes we set these high expectations within relationships, in which we know may turn out chaotic. Then once everything crumbles we suffer consequences that could've been prevented. The best choice to ever make in life is to for the most part expect all things from the one who is capable to do everything..GOD! Set standards for yourself to live by, than create expectations with individuals who respect your standard(s) in healthy relationships which will edify you as a person. For awhile I believe I suffered from the ideal that I had an obligation to everyone but myself. I felt that I had to keep everyone happy, and in return I'll be happy. In all honesty, I was not happy. I had given up my freedom to choose, and placed myself into this position to please at the expense of my own happiness. I had to learn that I could not please everyone, and it was okay! I also learned in this process that God created us with the will to make a choice. ( Personally, I believe our main obligation should be to Him.) The choices we make brings forth outcomes within our lives. At that moment my outcome was unpleasant. But the wonderful irony about choices is that it can be used to fix what may have been distorted. By acknowledging that I had full power over my choices and whom or what I became obligated to, I began to regain happiness. We all have the freedom of choice, and with it we chose what is our obligation. A Heart Post! Doing a little self evaluation and I began to just think about my life. For some reason "communication" is what I began to analyze. For a long time communication was one of my weaknesses. From a consequence of being previously hurt, in order for me to share my honest feelings with another person we had to be close, (family or my best friends) and sometimes I didn't even speak to them. I keep so much inside, because I was afraid to expose myself, and never wanted to personally offend someone with my issues. (Plus I was a little stubborn, lol) In result, this led to me making assumptions, jumping to conclusions, robbing myself from life opportunities, a peace of mind, and even gracious moments of joy. I conceived this thought that I could handle everything on my own. I always talked to God about things, which always helped. But God had placed caring people in my life to share my feelings and to communicate with. (FYI: I do believe something's can be kept between you and God) Communication was truly a hard and scary thing for me. I feared of speaking to the wrong person, feeling vulnerable, and just being misunderstood altogether. But about 2 months ago, I began communicating with someone and realized that it is okay to communicate. The sense of relief I felt was everything! I learned that communication was a great form of release, whether prayer, or just speaking to another trusted individual. It helps! Yes we live in a world were some ppl feel as though no one can be trusted. It's an illusion. There are trustworthy ppl out there! Just ask God for the wisdom in whom to communicate with. You rob yourself from so much not communicating! "The Past... A Disadvantage vs. An Advantage" Morning Thought: Everyone has a past, that experienced moment(s) that you would rather keep to yourself, and not share with anyone! I have spoken to so many people in reference to life. With some we even reached the level of comfort to explore our "past". One thing I realized is the past has this ironic power, but this power is only evoked by our personal choice. By choice we allow our past to become an advantage to us, or a disadvantage. We can use it as a learning tool, to grow in life and excel. Or we can allow it to deter us from growing. It's our choice. No matter how "bad" your past has been, there will forever be opportunity to grow from it. (Yes, I just destroyed the option of you even choosing to use your past as a disadvantage!) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬ KJV) Meditation Scripture: In life I realized that my own path, and plans sometimes became distorted and did not always fall into place as I desired. In result, I use to get an attitude and present the question of "How did this go wrong?" or sometimes even become entirely negative throughout the situation. (I'm still guilty of this!) It wasn't until I read this scripture that I began to understand our disappointments are sometimes redirection to the place of BETTER God has for us! Although we may experience the disappointment, if we keep the thought that "ALL things work together for the good" our perception will begin to change in a negative situation. No matter the circumstance remember there is always the end result of its resolution being good. It's just in how we perceive it! "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all of these things shall be added unto you. ( Matthew 6:33 ) I believe this is my meditation scripture today! Often we seek out so many other things, than the one who has full control over ALL things, and is also the giver of all things. By seeking God first, and acknowledging His righteousness we place ourselves in the position of learning His intended will for our lives. It gives access to the actual weight of our desires. If they align with Gods Will they will be added into our lives. If not by seeking Christ we gain the acceptance and clarity to know something's don't belong and are not what we need. Seeking God and His righteousness keeps us clear from unwanted consequences, and for the most part shows God we honor Him, and give Him full access to work in our lives. #OneOfMyFavoriteScriptures #Growing #SeekGod #Focused #Queen #GMLoves ❤️😬👸🏾

One thing in life I've learned is that every step forward whether big or small is considered PROGRESS! In life I've come to know that we are not perfected beings, we have our ups and we have our downs. But our lives should not function in our failures, but yet successes. Some situations can seem overbearing and hard to move forward from, and sometimes we often allow fear, unhealthy comfort zones, or negativity to hold us back as well. But God has blessed us with strength and opportunity daily to progress and move forward. Time...everybody posses it, but how do we use it? Last night I began to think about my life and the different things which took up my time. (Events, relationships, Academics, etc.) I than began to evaluate these different encounters to see their effect on my life whether it was negative or positive. To be realistic, some were positive, but I had some negative as well. This made me ask the question. "How can I use my time effectively." In life we experience many different things some awhich don't bring the best results. In consequence, we acknowledge our waste of time and push the blame on the individual, or thing in which we wasted our time on. Not knowing our time is OURS! We've made the decision to invest a precious element in which God has blessed us with, in a specific area. I'm learning that taking full responsibility for the bad investment is the first step to establishing "effective time investment". By evaluating certain situations and investing our time in opportunities which will bring positivity to our lives we can reduce a huge amount of regret, and become better individuals. I believe we live in a world where instant gratification is the norm, we tend to rush into somethings and suffer the consequence, rather wait for Gods appropriate timing.. In my life I have grown to know that “Patience is Key”. Sometimes waiting can be frustrating, but the discipline and patience you build enables true personal growth. I have been a guilty victim of rushing into things, and not trusting Gods timing, but I’m learning daily that nothing compares to the growth you experience while waiting, and for the most part the perfect blessing/moment God gives when you wait. My Hidden Talent: Free-Writing & Encouraging

Memoirs of A Church Girl is my blog in which I wanted to create to help individuals who are developing a personal relationship with Christ and may find it hard to connect their daily lives to their spiritual life through the pathway of transparency. As time passed my intentions have broaden, in this world many people suffer from poverty, emotional pain, physical pain, psychological disorders, loneliness, and so much more..  Not having enough positive resources or just a simple encouraging word can hinder the healing that's needed. In this blog, I plan to share my life story whether past, present, and as time progress future to enable others to create that connection, began healing, spread positive energy, and help myself/others become their better self. I am very open minded, and promise to convey in every way perspectives in which anyone can come into agreement and create those following connections, but i do rely on my own personal foundation (Jesus, or course!). Through this blog I hope to present the possibility and encourage the process of healing through transparency.
