I would say itās unlikely that there will be any new photos taken in court. They try very hard to keep him out of the public view.

Yes if they come directly from the company. Not sent from your home.
Jahar can't answer mail... But can he have them? Or any letters sent to them are thrown away?
I believe there is a short list of people who he can receive letters from. If you arenāt on that list they send the letter back. But you can send books, as long as it comes directly from the retailer.

If you look into his case itās easy to feel sympathy for him. He did not have a very happy life. And he was manipulated by someone he loved and trusted. Donāt feel guilty for having empathy. It doesnāt mean you condone what he did. Love the sinner, hate the sin.
Jahar stayed silent during his trial because he wanted to or because the law prohibited? I know he had his throat injuried, so he couldn't speak because of medical reasons, but after that what was stoping him from speaking?
I believed his lawyers advised him not to testify on his own behalf. Could be wrong. There was a big question going into the trial-would he testify or not? But it was determined pretty early that the answer was no. His throat was fine by that time. He verbally gave his plea in July.

Yep, felt like old times today - hearing his name dropped every hour or so on the radio.
Why we don't see much about his appeal? I mean he decided to appeal in 2016... It's been 4 years on this shit and we don't have a single significant update. And we don't see people talking about it anywhere, it's (at least for me) super hard to find an update about the hearings, I only discovered yesterday that had an hearing in like march of this year.
Well I do still hear a little bit about it now and then when there is a motion or a hearing. Iām sure it doesnāt make national news. Local reporters here will cover it, especially the local NPR stations. Your best bet for news as well as actual discussions is to stick with local Boston coverage You could try these... WGBH and WBUR. Hereās a link to a local radio show (Boston Public Radio) discussing the appeal.

I saw that Jahar's parents had an website that was for the movement free jahar. I imagine that the site is no longer available, but do you know how was called and what had in there? I only saw that it had pictures of him. I wish it had an archive of the website or something like that
Briefly, right after he was arrested, there was something run by a friend of the family. (Canāt remember her name right now) she would basically post updates about conversations Jahar had with his parents. There was also a leaked video including audio of one of their conversations on speaker phone (from Devens) You can see her and hear his voice. Itās out there. Iād have to dig deep to track that down.
