a loose approximation of alter roles we have been using based upon what everyone tends to front for / focus on. more specific roles are difficult to figure out at the moment and do not always fit cleanly, but this helps us understand ourselves a bit better

we have this sort of blurry/dissociated front often; we tend to think of it as being "muted". the fronter can tell who they are, but feel unconfident and disconnected from their identity. they often write things like, "i'm acting like red, but i don't feel like anyone at all." the body feels empty, the fronter fuzzy and distant from it.

the fronts with clarity are rarer, but sometimes we can ground ourself to move towards it once we've identified who is at front. we're working on getting better about that.
