Being a provisional psychologist and learning more about diagnoses really makes me reflect on the lack of assessment I got as a child/teen
Like I think I actually have Tourette’s rather than Motor Tic Disorder (nobody checked for respiratory tics and those count as vocal tics which then count as Tourette’s and not motor tic disorder)

Why can’t people just spend time with their patients, actually get to know them, and do a thorough assessment
It’s bad enough my OCD diagnosis was missed for 10 years (diagnosed as GAD. Which I also have but if I got my OCD treated earlier, my upbringing would’ve been very different imo)
