◜ ♐ ◞ — ❝After being on this site for over a year, I finally hit 1k followers. A feat I never expected to reach! When I first created this blog, I never thought I’d really get anywhere seeing as tumblr wasn’t my main source of roleplay and I really didn’t know anyone. I’m a shy person to start but somehow I managed—but with your help ! Kagome was my first roleplay blog on this site; I’ve played her for many years offsite but for some reason I was so scared to bring her here. Mainly because I’m used to 1v1 rps and it wasn’t often that TONS of people could reach EVERY single thing I posted. So it was terrifying ! Yet you responded to both me and Kagome in such a wonderful way. We’ve both changed throughout our time here and I believe it’s for the better. We’ve both grown in many ways. We’ve seen and experienced many things to help us and it was all from your help. From loss to love and hatred to passion, we’ve been through it all and it has been wonderful ! His gaze returned to hold hers with just a hint of curiosity though he was not surprised by her actions. Perhaps he could tolerate a bit of conversation, for even if his body was exhausted from a mission & days without sleep, his mind is, as always, awake. For someone so often so cold, he could stand for a bit of socialization.

Indeed, he was now back to working for Konoha, and his skill was much appreciated, even if the bearer of said skills was often less than pleasant. Still, when completing missions, Sasuke’s arrogance could not help but increase fractionally. & then he could feel her eyes on his wounds, injuries he had not bothered to tend, opting to attend his de-briefing first. There was a soft sigh at this, though he was not truly bothered. Perhaps he could depart more whole than when he’d entered.

It seemed as if Arrogance and pride Still reside within him.

She could feel herself wanting to roll her eyes; it was blatantly obvious that he had noticed her curious scrutiny towards the not-so-inconspicuous wounds that he had carried. She was a medic after all; it was her specialty to immediately take note of things and to be aware when there is a Shinobi concealing such lacerations, no matter how major or minor.

Her eyes were sharp. It was something she had honed and improved from her rigororus training. It was hard for someone to avoid her without having the roseate give them a proper checkup.

And Sasuke won't be an exception.

Immediately striding over to where he sat, Sakura propped herself on the seat across from him. Bring it forward slightly, close enough where she could extend her hand towards his, she spoke:

"Let me see."

Her voice, despite being even, held a tinge of demand and unwavering emotion towards it. With a gentle palm indicating to the gashes he hid, her emerald optics kept itself set into his own empty void of dark eyes. She expected that there would be protests or a refusal but she didn't care.

Everyone has a bit of trouble when learning and pronouncing a new language and Sakura is no exception.

Though picking up on English is a strong suit for her, such as with writing out the words and grammar, she lacks with sounding it out with her voice.

Her Japanese accent unfortunately rules over her attempts of speaking clearer, understandable English words when conversing. Aside from that, since she is born in the Hokkaido Prefecture countryside, she has a dialectic accent to her voice called "Hokkaido-ben". Also, she carries an additional sound called "Hama-kotoba", which translates to "seaside speech" or speech originating from distant seas. It is a heavy toned speech found in her prefecture and her tongue rattles it on when she is either excited, nervous, and at times, angry.

Though proud of being able to write and read English, Sakura gets easily embarrassed when trying to speak. She prides herself with everything in the language except when it comes to actually opening her mouth.

"How Could I Forget?"

That wasn’t what he expected. He had no right to expect anything.

He felt stab of guilt for saying it in the first place. it was like admitting you’ve cheated. It’s something you do more for your own conscience than for other person. He swallowed hard to get the thing that seem to be blocking his thoat out.

The night was concealing his restlessness. Good thing she can see because he feels like idiot and there is no way it wouldn’t be obvious. What does he even apologizes for? There could be entire book written about the list of mistakes he made. Excuses pop to his mind first thing .

How pathetic.

He doesn’t want to stir these waters anymore. Some things are better to be let alone and leave it to the time to deal with. When she wants to talk to him she will. There’s no reason for playing good guy anymore. He is going to focus on the mission and keep the relationship with his former teammate decent. The wounds of past are too sore to be ripped open again.

“We should sleep. We need to get up early.”

He changes topic and turns to the side, getting ready to sleep. If he even manages to fall asleep tongiht.

The brusque response Should immediately provoke Her and her own internal emotions But somehow she felt numb.

The atmosphere and the very core of the simple words they shared with each other had taken a rather unexpected turn. And she knew she had something to do with it.

A painful jab hit her side even if there was no external force to do just so. The roseate-haired female was aware of how he must have been offended or even displeased at the response she had made towards his apology. The Uchiha was not one to speak those two words to her or to anyone else but the one time he had -- she was unable to muster out any convenient and meaningful words.

How much feeble Had she become Over the years?

She bit her lip hard enough to cause a little cut. From the slit of wound, a tiny crimson red liquid oozed out as she pushed away any morbid thoughts in her mind. Sakura should not be affected by any more recollections or innervations that led back to Sasuke. These things should be long and gone by now, settled into dust after the conclusive war that occurred years ago.

But why Why the hell was it so hard So hard to simply Tie things that were left behind?

It was too late now.

"... Nee, Sasuke." Or maybe it wasn't. "I--yeah, good night." Maybe she just couldn't make up her mind.

Maybe it's better left for tomorrow's sake.
