Just for anyone else's reference, some signs that this is a scam:

The blog name is a string of numbers. Why would an official Tumblr account use a rando string of numbers?

They're contacting you by tagging you on a post. Tumblr would get in touch directly (or just block your account...)

It includes a shortened link so you can't tell where it goes (don't click on the link)

It's vague about how you're meant to verify your identity

It plays on something that will make you panic, with a time limit to fix it (oh no! no one will see my posts and if I don't fix it now it will stay like that forever!) but that isn't straightforward to confirm (how can you tell if no one else is seeing your posts?)

It promises compensation if it's an error, but doesn't give any information about how that error would be identified (and also there's no way tumblr would actually bother doing more than saying "woops, sorry")

Why would they give a shit about the aesthetics of your blog?

Once again, I cannot emphasise enough that the account is a random string of numbers that's randomly tagging people and asking them to click on a random link.

Anyways, it looks like I am going to be starting a shit job in less than two weeks (I think? I don't know, I'm always paranoid something will come up in the background checks and I might not have told my references that I put them down as references...). It's not ideal but I'm just looking forward to having an income again. At least the first two weeks is just training so I don't have to actually get into it right away. And it's work from home.

And, even though it's not a job I wanted, I promised myself that once I got a job, I could have a bottle of pisco and a cocktail set. I just realised that I can use the money I'm getting from cat sitting to treat myself too so I'm not even really spending any money on it...
