Powerless, episode 34 -Her Confession
They're alone together having just ran from the enemy and ready to escape through the window. The light from the window protrudes in her direction, Seyeon takes the stan. She lays out her plan, thoughts, emotions, exposing herself to him. Possibility on the verge of humiliation over the misinterpretation of romantic mutuality. Detailing into her praise and admiration to him which retorts into a spiral of awareness what of it all meant. It wasn't romantic intent. He was never the focus. The focus was her lack. He had the strength and courage and she lacked. Her emptiness to be of something made her crave attention. She craved acknowledgment of the person who seemed the most whole in her eyes.
In her head to say that he liked her meant that she was worth of appraisal. Worthy of his attention and protection. It added value to herself, in her head. His envisionment of her usefulness erased the deep powerlessness she often found herself feeling.
