My friends aren't really interested :( "I don't know anything about art" they say, and I guess it's an excuse, no amount of "it's fine, just come look at something cool" seems to work.

Hey I know this is, like, me getting really ahead of things but will you do gnovember for 2026 too?

I loved it in ’25 and your take on a fantasy race is, Well, totally awesome if you ask me!

Good news! It's extremely likely I will me drawing more hamsters gnomes... I've been collecting insp/reference material for them, and I'm hoping to do more worldbuilding related stuff as well.

Brother Ariel of Her Blessed Thorns. Religious brother traveling the continent, seeking to protect remote towns and communities from monsters and other troubles that might arise. Known for his tall stature (he is, like, 210+ cm tall!) and open, personable demeanor, Ariel is devoted to his chosen saint* and making the world a bit better, but harbors secret insecurities about never finding his own place in the world. This setting has no clerics or paladins or priests that can channel divine powers, so don't take this to mean Ariel is like. TTRPG type or whatever, but he is still devoted and doing good. The black lines on his arm are religious: based on their good deeds, followers of Her Blessed Thorns (aka Lady Thorns) are given small black tattoos, called "thorns" that will, with time, end up looking like a blackout tattoo.

(*I debated whether I wanted to give a huge text dump about his religion here and idk decided against it because I guess it's not that relevant? But the condensed version is that he is part of a somewhat deistic religion that doesn't actively worship their grand god, but instead focus their faith on various saints who were believed to hold a portion of this god's power or channel it, there's 3-5 large branches** and many, many smaller, more fringe branches. Ariel's branch*** is fairly small but respected for the work they do.) (**Largest branch of the continent is centered around a saint called "His Gentle Holiness of Healing" aka Lord of Healing, and like the title implies, it's mostly focused on healing the sick and taking care of the poor. In Meta sense this branches exists solely so I can have my characters say "oh Lord" and similar and have it make sense in-universe lmao.) (*** Branch is in-universe term used by most****, uh, branches of this religion. Basically they imagine their God as a trunk of a tree and the saints as various tree branches, different but ultimately from the same source.) (**** Religious schisms and clashes are common.)

Snow gnome Armas Rautakoski, technically-retired dragon hunter, can sometimes still be found participating in hunts whenever necessary.

Dragon attacks during winter aren't very common, but they still happen occasionally.
