After a few weeks, the thought of a larger family began to enter Scarlet's mind. And as she looked around, she found her house a little too small. She went to her husband, who was doing some research on the computer. "Travis, I think we need a bigger house", she said to him. "Huh?" Travis was lost in thought, looking at his wife.
"I thought we were gonna start a family soon", she said. He nodded. "Oh, yeah, and I found something great, too", he said, pointing at the screen. "Newcrest?" Scarlet read aloud. "Yes, this estate is a new development, and the land prices are relatively cheap..." Scarlet sighed when she saw the prices. "Relatively inexpensive, yes, but there's got to be a house on top..." Travis turned to her. "Isn't the Grand Lottery back this week? Maybe we should try our luck", he suggested. "You think so?" Scarlet was skeptical. "Well", he began, "if we don't try, we won't win for sure..." "That's right", Scarlet thought for a moment, "Well, then we'll get lottery tickets!"
In the evening they were still a bit skeptical if they would be the winners of the lottery but somewhat excited, too.
At the end of the week Travis and Scarlet were discussing about the results of the lottery. “Bad luck for me, I guess”, he said and shrugged his shoulders, “What about you, dear?” Scarlet was nearly bursting with joy. “I won!”
“What? No way!”, he said and grabbed her ticket. Travis couldn’t believe it. “You really won! Oh my, I’m so happy for you!” “You mean for us”, Scarlet corrected him, “Now we can finally buy an estate and build our dream home!”
A few days later they drove to Newcrest and checked out a property. “So, what do you think, Scarlet?”, asked Travis.
“It’s lovely”, she answered, “Over there’s a playground and a small park. Perfect for starting a little family...” “So, shall we seal the deal?” She nodded. “Yes. This is going to be our new home...”
