do you believe something can be art if it was created because the creator knew it would sell?

Definitely, there's skill behind knowing what people are interested in, if you're connecting with a whole group of people and are relatable I don't think that the fact loads of people like it or recognise themselves in it detracts from it being art. Andy Warhol is a good example of this that many people have heard of whether they're into art or not. He made a business out of accessible art and loads of people are still into it. He wasn't the first and he's not someone who's work I'd want in my own home but he was successful. Then you've got the question of whether master forgers are artists in their own right and I think they definitely are, you're utilising a skill for a purpose and whether or not it's an original concept isn't the point.You don't have to do this anonymously by the way, I respond to everyone privately 💐

Haha yea I guess but like I was literally hacking a cardboard box open with the sharpest thing I could find, I live with a chef and we're both incapable of ever locating any of the 50 pairs of scissors we possess. The cheese knives have yet to be used for cheese purposes.

what's been the best piece of art you feel you've created?

This is a pretty hard question. I’ve created a lot of paintings particularly that I thought were technically skilled and beautiful but sometimes when you love something you have to set it on fire or pour bleach on it, throw it in a bin and never think about it again.

I've written things that have moved me more than anything visual has ever done for me so I guess I would say that for me personally what I'm doing right now is the best piece of art I've ever created. But that isn't a very good answer. This would be in the tags if my phone wasn't having a jazzy freak out.
