Shield, just where she wanted to be, right? Wrong. Natasha wasn’t so fond of aimlessly spending her time at HQ for various reasons. One being the constant super vision that tried to go unnoticed but was painfully obvious to her, and annoyingly so. Two being the daily evaluations by SHIELD’s esteemed physiologists. Natasha knew when everything wasn’t right in her head, her memory a bit vague, yes. But she knew that she and only she was occupying her head. There was always the subconscious itch at the back of her mind when she was being controlled by someone else.
However, when you’re on the road she is, all the extra money you can get is worth all of that.
”I’m fine.” “Okay, the’ll be a debriefing packet in your room.” ”Excellent.”
Without giving him a second glance she head out of the room, what she would call a mad dash, unknowingly colliding with a solid form that wasn’t a wall, but flesh and bone. Alright, so perhaps she wasn’t one hundred percent…. But can’t blame a girl for trying.
He's only been back for a few days when he, quite literally, walks straight into the last person he wanted to see. Not because he dislikes her, of course; that's not the case at all. It's because he should be able to chat to her about anything and everything, because they knew each other so well, but instead he'll have to play it off, play it like she was just another agent around the building.
His eyes go wide for a brief moment as their bodies collide, and he reaches up to brace his hands on her arms, leaning himself away. Dropping his hands, he raises an eyebrow, offering a smile as he slips into character.
"I'm sorry-- I didn't even see you coming. You all good?"
