“It’s supposed to be like that… I think,” Gabriel furrowed his brows as he focused on the ceiling of the newly constructed theater. Art deco was all the rage and the fairy tale themes of the Belle Epoque and Noveau Art were slowly being replaced by geometric shapes and bold lines. It’s a hit and a miss though for those trying to join the latest fad.
“Are you certain it’s not because you lack sleep, Mercier?”
A laugh. Theo couldn’t help but feel bitterly amused by Gabriel’s suggestion. “Maybe.” He replied, not bothering to entertain self-criticism. Sleep and wealth were both things that Theo seldom entertained. “Though the architecture is dizzying enough that it just might knock me out for a few.” He said with a sort of dry amusement. “It’s gorgeous.” He amended. “If not...” He searched for a word. “Ambitious.” Gorgeous and ambitious had bene a theme of the last few months.
