This California-style island world was uploaded to the exchange this March. It boasts gorgeous scenery and ingenious designs, though it also comes with some frustrating issues. Here is a brief overview:
The downtown area consists of two main avenues. One is primarily dedicated to community lots, where the creator placed multiple rabbit holes with identical functions (such as several grocery stores, restaurants, and day spas. So realistic). The remaining open lots, including a gym, a café, a restaurant, and even an Apple Store, are also very well-designed. The other avenue is mostly residential, lined with typical local beachfront houses. At the intersection of these two roads, there's a coastal bike path (which is actually a sidewalk), and the beaches on the residential side features three lifeguard towers. There are also a few small empty lots at the very end of the residential zone.
The inland area is filled with luxury mansions in a wide variety of architectural styles. One of them comes with an attached tennis court, boasting stunning views and a serene atmosphere. I guess some of these mansions were built by the world's creator, while the rest come from other players. Their interior finishes vary wildly in quality. Some houses include descriptions and others don't. Near the downtown area and the factory (abandoned warehouse), you can also find a few decent starter houses.
Now for the biggest issue: the creator likely used cc or cracked store items, which weren't included when exporting the world. Consequently, you know, many areas look totally ruined, littered with those eyesores, and some roofs have been replaced by the base game's reddish-brown ones. It's really frustrating. I lose all motivation to explore whenever see a world where so many objects have been defaulted
That said, this world does an excellent job of recreating SoCal's scenery and architecture. If those issues get fixed, it will make for a truly cozy and pleasant vacation world.
