so the moment where malfoy cursed hermione’s front teeth to grow and snape just looked down and said “I see no difference” is one of the moments where I realize I really don’t care how hurt he was by his unrequited love for Lily and how much he went through to keep Harry alive; he was needlessly cruel to a whole lot of innocent kids and teens and how in his twisted mind did he seem to think that was what would have made Lily more attracted to him if she had lived?

He had a horrible, messed up childhood and likely has some severe undiagnosed mental issues and trauma ( it seems like the wizarding world is still really medieval when it comes to mental health/ abuse and just ... actually everything ? The whole way they live ?) which doesn't EXCUSE his behavior but does EXPLAIN it. I love his character and am fascinated with his relationship with Lily but he isn't a good person ! People need to try to find this balance between those excusing him and everyone hating him. Like, the characters behavior absolutely stems from going from an abusive lonely household to being bullied to hanging out with creepy toxic people with harmful views of other people and the world that influenced him .So. Discourse . Harry Potter . Also he's really bitter about her whole being dead thing I don't think he's thinking about what would be attractive to her he's just an angry sulky man

My parents HATE overwatch because it takes up our entire wifi whenever my brother goes online and when I bought myself the new Zelda my mom was like “can I watch Netflix? or are you playing” and I was like no, no don’t worry it doesn’t take up internet. and she was so relieved and started walking towards the TV in her room and I was like “you want to watch it out here? I can switch to the handheld mode” and she was so impressed that she could watch Master Chef next to me while I played my game. Nintendo is truly the family system.
