This work presents what the concept of beauty means to each of the five Moon siblings.
For Princess Mercury, beauty is intelligence. She thinks that reading books is an act of elegance as it helps you acquire knowledge. For her, a chess game is a chance to showcase her beauty - which is her intelligence and strategy. The books in her bookshelves are mostly numbered volumes of a book series, which suggest her interest for in-depth knowledge acquisition through reading. The chess game is shown through the holographic interface on top of the bookshelf, suggesting the high level of technology in the Moon Kingdom.
For Princess Venus, beauty is the result of making effort to design and build your appearance and outfit, so that each part of your attire complement with each other as well as yourself, thus making you look pretty and fashionable. This is also the first time I've drew the back view of a Sailor Moon character, since I think a mirror would fit Princess Venus's room the best.
You might recognize Princess Aurora's gown in green color next to Princess Venus, because in my fic, it was gifted by Venus to Aurora when she came to the Moon. Princess Venus's sword is also present, and by the time she is 14, she had trained her sword skills for 5 years, since she received it as a gift from her mother upon her 9th birthday.
For Princess Mars, beauty is to let go of your desires and worries, and connect and unite yourself with the cosmic side of the Force. Much like Rei Hino in the present day, Princess Mars also uses fire divination to see into the future. Princess Mars has once correctly predicted Princess Venus receiving a sword as her birthday gift, days before her birthday.
For Princess Jupiter, beauty is treasuring and cherishing all the gifts that are naturally given to you, as well as loving yourself for who you are and what you are made of. In this work, she is not wearing her princess dress, but her training outfit. She is not afraid of showcasing her tall, strong and developed figure and physique. She is depicted holding up a heavy and large five-storey electric oven, where pastries are being baked. This simultaneously reflects the naturally given strength of the Sailor Guardian of Jupiter, as well as her innate fondness for cooking and baking. Since Jupiter is the largest planet in the Solar system, a Sailor Guardian has to be strong enough to channel its power, and hence, Princess Jupiter grows at a faster rate than her siblings, and is hence taller, stronger and more developed, as if she is the de facto oldest sister out of the five. My later calculations has shown that her arms are 2.2 times as big as her brother's, and her "talents" are 6 times as big than her other sisters' average.
For Prince Serenity, beauty comes from the purity inside him and inside his heart. He believed that a pure heart of compassion is the essence of being the Prince of the Moon and the future wielder of the Silver Crystal. Right after his birth, he was cursed by "Queen" Nehelenia, who intends to usurp the throne of the Moon Kingdom, but fortunately, he was raised with the love of his mother and his four sisters, as a graceful, cheerful and compassionate boy. The scene is a redraw of the scene in Episode 44 of the Sailor Moon anime where his female counterpart, Princess Serenity, looks out to the sky from the Moon Palace's balconies.
