Chapter 1: Strike Out

But as Daigo flips through the pictures, something catches his eye. One of them features a woman. Though she is not the center of attention of the photograph, she is looking right at the camera and appears to be laughing. Daigo-san’s voice becomes distant, his words barely registering to Mine. He just stares at her as she laughs, happiness dancing in her bright eyes. Seeing her position in the picture, she seems to be seated next to the chairman. When he flips to the next one, he sees her again, though her face is half out of frame, he recognizes her clothes. “Who is that?” The question comes out before he can even think about it. “That’s still Kouji-san.” “No, not her. Her.” Mine clarifies, pointing to the corner of the picture where the woman is half hidden. “Hm? Oh, I suppose I never told you about her, huh? That’s Emiko, my girlfriend.”

Returning from a pause of more than two month with a new chapter (๑˘︶˘๑)

Chapter 6: Alone we May Fight

He already did his usual workout in the morning, but he still takes time to warmup his muscles. Though straining something would quickly put an end to the trial that is this meeting. He wonders if his chairman would take care of him if he pulled a muscle. He's sure those hands would make him feel better in no time. He blows a deep breath, trying to regain control over his own mind. He knew this was a terrible idea, but he didn't know how bad. It's not too late to go back. Pretext something to leave and never touch a hair on his chairman's head. But it would be rude. And he never wants to let him down.

Update just to say: there is no update. There isn't even progress.

I've been feeling really unwell all week and completely unable to write anything. It's been a handful of awful and unproductive days. I hope I'll get better soon because it's really strange for me to be unable to write! usually I would channel this suffering to torment Mine but it's not working this time x)

I'll try to get it done for next weekend but I can't promise anything. It's completely out of my hands. I was hesitant to post this... kind of personal rant, but I thought the people who cared should know what's up.

I'm really sorry to the people who were excited about it. Thank you so much for your patience (*_ _)人

Yeah when Daigo took that bullet for Mine and still asked him if he was alright, I was just as hooked as Mine was (.❛ ᴗ ❛.) My thoughts were simultaneously "what the fuck is wrong with him" and "I love him". And Mine is the funniest protag to play I love how he's just a liar LMAO

Chapter 5: Through the Storms

As soon as he arrives at the top floor, he can hear voices. It's not that his chairman's apartment is badly insulated, but the voices are loud, and hurried. He steps to the door, and tries to listen. It's not like he's trying to spy on the Sixth Chairman's private life. Maybe something is really wrong and he needs his help. The door seems tightly shut, though. No sign of forced entry. And he distinguishes two voices. One male, one female. He would recognize the male one among a see of noises. The other must be Emiko's. It seems like they're arguing, but he can't make out any word. He just hears the angry tone of their voices. He pauses, with his hand against the door. He hates to hear the dissatisfaction in Daigo-san's voice, but he can't help a pleased shiver from running down his chest. They are fighting.

Or: the one where they got out of hands, completely out of my control. I had to cut in half the chapter I was working on or it would have been too long and I would be working on it for weeks! So sadly no hot grappling this chapter but in the next one, I promise. (￣▽￣)
