Mercy High Day 36 Announcements
Fern: I love summer break. No classes, the pool is open, I can get a nice tan…
Axel: You don’t attend classes, the student council has indoor pools open all year round, and when I tried to get you outside you started hissing until I closed the blinds.
Fern: It was really bright!
Axel: It was the evening, the sun was almost completely set.
Fern: And?
Axel: Nevermind, just start the announcements.
Fern: Well, I would but Luca took them and said he wanted to add to them. That’s why I was talking about summer vacation.
Axel: You didn’t leave the school.
Fern: Neither did you.
Axel: I did, who do you think does the groceries?
Fern: Lance. (Door opening)
Luca: He doesn’t live with us. (Door closes)
Axel: You don’t either.
Luca: Of course not, I have to live with my lovely family.
Fern: Does that mean you think Kai is lovely?
Luca: No I don’t.
Fern: I’m going to tell Kai you think he’s lovely.
Luca: Shut up, I just came here to give you the announcements. (Paper rustling)
Fern: Great you can go and spend time with your brother now.
Luca: Just leave me alone. (Door opening) (Door closing)
Fern: Alright, let’s get started. (Door opening) Sam! Perfect timing. (Door closing)
Sam: Does this have anything to do with why Luca just stopped me in the hall and said never to talk about my family?
Axel: Yes.
Fern: No, I just wanted to ask you a few questions.
Sam: Okay…
Fern: Do you like pi(e)?
Sam: The food or the number?
Fern: How about fractions and measurements?
Sam: That didn’t answer my question.
Fern: Well then you should come by the junior classes car wash this Saturday.
Sam: What does that have to do with anything you said before that.
Fern: This year they hope to get over five people to come with raccoons to come. So if you need to feed your raccoon please come. They also offer waxing services for your pumpkins.
Sam: What?
Fern: I’ve also heard they’re taking credit and debit this year.
Sam: I’m so confused.
Fern: Well if you’re confused why not swing by the library. The Nationalist Honorary Soapery offers tutoring opportunities for students struggling in class. To apply you simply have to do a printer flip and a paper with all your information will be sent to NHS. Make sure the printer is not a fax machine, fox machine, scanner, or a random person living on the street.
Sam: I don’t need a tutor and what the hell is a printer flip?
Axel: We have a video. (Static)
Voice: I’ve been exiled to the basement. (Running noises)(a loud thunk) Yeah! Concrete! (Static stops)
Sam: What? Did? I? Just? Watch?
Fern: A printer flip! It was originally used as entrance into a cult. The person in the video was actually was the cult master.
Sam: She didn’t look that scary. I mean sweat pants and a tank top? She’s what a senior?
Axel: She’s a sophomore. I’ve seen you talk to her.
Sam: What?
Fern: Shout out to Ilza wherever she is. Man I love your cult. I will never forget the pumpkin hat incident.
Axel: I won’t either.
Sam: Wait Ilza?
Fern: Yeah!?
Sam: Now it makes more sense. Of course she would lead a cult.
Fern: Hey! It’s not nice to stereotype. After all you wouldn’t want her to stereotype you as an overly boring security guard who just follows her around to keep her in line, but then you ended up falling in love with her and being caught in this epic love story between choosing the security club or the love of your life who may or may not love you and you’re not yet sure if you’re willing to throw everything away to be with her, but it came down to it and she said yes you know you would drop everything and join her in her world, but deep down you would really wish she had met you half way and joined you in your current life.
Sam: What? No! How is that a stereotype?
Fern: You never know.
Axel: Just read the rest of the announcements.
Fern: I can’t read Luca’s handwriting. You read it.
Axel: Fine. Due to increase in interest in the book club we will be bringing it back with a revamp image. Our first book will be the incantations and summoning rituals for underworld puppies. This was requested by Ffff. You’re name is just a bunch of Fs man.
Fern: Well I guess we’re done today. Happy first day of school.
Axel: Nothing is happy about it.
Fern: Hush.
