He shook his head while grinning, before turning to face the older man behind the counter. “Oye, George, a caramel latte please.” he called out while gesturing to Mercy, receiving a simple curt nod as the other went to work. “It’s a deal. We wouldn’t want more of their cleverness would we?” he agreed with a smirk, “I am not sure I could handle the backlash.” he was glad they were on the same page—it made him relax a little. He really didn’t want anymore life intervention from the people around him and he assumed the woman across from him thought the same thing. “So, this is a divorce club now?”

For a moment she wondered whether Levi would be a person she would ever hang out with if it weren’t for her nosy friends and their eagerness. They meant well... but then they also put her into awkward situations. Like this one. She hoped that Levi would be easy to talk to. “So tell me about yourself,” she started, turning around to face Levi. “It can be anything you want. If I needed to get to know Levi Vargas quick, fast, and in a hurry, what are the things I’d need to know?”
