B-tier villain Gadrith D’Lorus assembles his strongest soldiers to steal the stone of shackles except those soldiers are clown #1 (Darzin whose only idea was a 10-year psychological torture regime) and clown #2 (Thurvishar who is failing as hard as he possibly can while still technically obeying the gaesh order)

A chorus of dragons spinoff that’s solely narrated by xaltorath as they attempt to take over the universe again and again and somehow fuck it up every time. It gets progressively more incoherent as they eat more souls and become more insane on account of all the timeloops they’re trying to keep straight up in their head. By the last third at least half of their thoughts are in terrible poetic verse at all times and some of the more annoying demon souls they’ve eaten are butting in with their own opinions every other sentence. This would be fantastic surely everyone would want this.

I’m sorry to keep coming back to the Carriage Scene but like. POV you just got broken out of prison and crammed into a tiny getaway car with six other people. You’re beefing with your best friend because you won’t admit you’re in love with him. Your grand-nephew from your previous life who wrote a book about you (he’s in love with your brother’s wife who wrote a different book about your girlfriend) is dropping hints that you’re doomed by the narrative. Your best friend’s stepmom is planning to invite your girlfriend to a threesome. And then his dad who is also your sword teacher leans over and tells your father how amazing he is in bed

I’m just saying, if I were Kihrin I would’ve considered rejoining Vol Karoth just to get out of that car

- Kihrin and Janel are first cousins by marriage (since Therin’s first wife was Qoran’s wife’s sister, aka Janel’s step-aunt)

- Janel is already married to Kihrin’s brother (Relos Var)

- Thurvishar is in love with his own grandmother by marriage (Senera)

I really wish we could have seen thurvishar’s perspective on why he decided to save senera in atrine. like he went decidedly out of his way to do so, but at this point, how much contact had he had with her? if I’m remembering correctly, they only had the opportunity to run into each other occasionally in yor, and senera’s account wasn’t written, so it’s not like thurvishar’s empathy came from reading it. this may be the aspec talking, but I really don’t think there was enough time for him to develop (romantic?) feelings for her based on the timeline we know, but again, he was willing to throw down for her soo quickly. senera even says in one of her footnotes that she was surprised how passionate thurvishar felt about going to find her in atrine because she only considered him an acquaintance, so like what was going on there lmao

I’m also a supporter of the “they spent time together in Yor but Senera was lying in the footnotes” theory 😂

there’s a line from Memory of Souls where Senera says that being with Thurvishar is “like every time they’d worked magic together—quick, efficient, pleasingly comfortable.” Which first of all, very funny to read when she’s insisting that she doesn’t care about Thurvishar, but also it implies that they’ve worked together before off screen (maybe even multiple times?) since I can’t remember any time they’ve done magic together on screen.

the other option is that Thurvishar fell in love with Senera after 4 years of hearing her thoughts and never speaking to her which is extremely funny so I won’t discount it

#the secret third option is that Senera has worked with thurvishar before but literally doesn’t remember it #because of (book 4 spoiler) what relos var did to her to suppress her telepathy.#there have been a couple of moments in books 2/3 where I’ve wondered if Senera has actual memory issues or if she’s just lying/im misreading #1. when Janel catches her crying/sketching a kid she presumably murdered in book 2 and senera’s footnote denies that that ever happened #2. possibly this footnote from book 2 where she denies knowing thurvishar (although I do think she’s just lying here)#3. in book 3 thurvishar argues with her that she does feel love because she loves rebel #and senera’s narration says he sounds like he’s had to have this conversation with her several times before #even though she believes it’s the first time they’ve talked about it #I do think I’m probably reading too much into things though lmao #a chorus of dragons
