Recreating a Scribbly Gum Moth track that caught my eye the other day as an excuse to get my hands dirty, and to remind myself that art doesn't need to be perfect, it doesn't need to look good, and it doesn't need to have a purpose.

It can just be.

I burst into tears again, for the millionth time in the last two weeks, because I sat down with my sketchbook and pencils and I couldn't draw anything (a regular occurrence that usually just makes me annoyed, not crying in despair). My mum came over, sat in front of me, and said, "You have post-operative depression. It can happen after being under general anesthetic. You could feel like this for a while, but it's normal. You're not broken, and you need to give yourself a break." Simple as that.
