the alarms sounded throughout the ship. poe couldn’t just ignore it. dealing with a breach was probably not his department, but he didn’t care. he grabbed his standard issue blaster and tore off through the ship. he followed the sound of trooper’s boots through the corridors until he saw a group of them. they were surrounding something, or someone. poe forced his way through until he reached the middle of the circle. he saw a resistance fighter surrounded. poe cocked an eyebrow and crossed his arms over his chest. “ well, well. look who we have here. how did you manage to get on board, scum? “ he asked, narrowing his eyes at the other man in front of him.

“Yes dad.” Cema said with a giggle as she playfully crinkled her nose. She’d just gotten into the car, and wanted to put first her bag down on the car floor first, so she could sit comfortably. Quickly, she looked for the seatbelt. Upon finding it, she grabbed it and pulled it across her chest, fastening it with a satisfying click. “Is that better?” She understood why he’d said it since her mom had a rule about the car not moving until everyone’s seatbelts were on. But she was still going to poke at him for it. Especially because she was going to put her seatbelt on anyway.

the vintage 1962 volkwagen van harrison had inherited from his father was stocked to the nines. their bags were packed in the trunk. the backseat was made into the ultimate nap station - filled with blankets, pillows and sheets on the windows to block out the light. also in the backseat sat a cooler for drinks, and a large tote bag for snacks. this was the makings of a great road trip. he sat in the driver seat, already buckled with their playlist queued up. harrison had upgraded the stereo system to allow bluetooth and gps capability. “ oh hush, “ he said with a chuckle. “ it’s much better thank you, “ he grinned, typing in their first destination on waze before cranking the van. “ ready? “

Since Bridge had been up late finishing his homework as well as studying for a test the next day, he hadn’t gotten a lot of sleep. As a result, he’d taken a 5 hour energy with the hope that it’d keep him awake. Thankfully it did its job; but now he found himself much more hyper than usual. “Hey, thanks Kit!” He said with a grin, taking the french fries and proceeding to eat them. Although what she said did make sense; even though he felt pretty great, he hadn’t really eaten or drank much else. As a result, once he finished the fries he went to go get himself some food, returning with a burger, a bottle of water, and some buttery toast on the side. Sitting back down, he began to munch on his dinner. After taking a swig from his water, he turned to his friend. “How was your day?”

kit was nearly done with her meal, but she didn’t care. all that was waiting for her back in her dorm was more homework. she had zero interest in finishing that biology lab that was sitting unfinished on her desk. she hated biology, and she especially hated that they made her dissect frogs. she had a weak stomach, and that sort of thing made her sick. her grade, however, depended on it. she waited for her friend to come back, sipping gingerly at her tea. “ oh it was fine. biology was a drag as always, “ she said with a soft chuckle. “ how was yours, other than the obvious, “ she added.

Aaron was in a mood for a drink; as a result, he made his way to a nice upscale bar. Those kind of bars were a good place to get a drink, as well as try and do some business. However, it appeared that the bar he’d chosen was one that one of his employees had also chosen to unwind at. And when he’d heard her laugh, he couldn’t help but comment. He probably would’ve fallen for her seduction if he didn’t know who she was. “You’re never truly off the clock.” He muttered, so only she could hear. “Nothing. It’s merely a coincidence that I’m here.”

constance didn’t like to be interrupted. she liked her work, enjoyed it even. she wanted to be able to do such in peace. sighing, she shook her head, sending a blonde curl or two loose from her updo. “ yeah, well they don’t have to know that, “ she hissed, lowering her voice to match his. she glanced around at the mortals in the bar. it was more fun that way, to constance anyway. she took another sip of her drink and chuckled softly. “ you know i don’t believe in coincidences, aaron, “ she said cooly, letting her signature winning smile spread across her face.

Or for something that would give him a clue as to where she could be. However at her next words, it was Adrien’s turn to roll his eyes. He couldn’t stand either of them; but at the same time, he felt it would’ve been better if they’d found him first. At least then he would know what to feel. With Hope…he wasn’t quite sure. He was glad she was alive, but horrified and saddened by the fact that she was Ko’ri Ren. “I’m not planning anything.” He said, raising his mental shields. Although he sort of knew why he was there, he didn’t know everything. He didn’t know why his mother had brought up the mission. He didn’t know what her plan was. All he knew was that he’d wanted to complete his mission well. “Sorry to disappoint.” Although he wanted to know why, he also was not about to give in to her demands.

something inside of hope stirred. she had let herself believe for so long that they were better off without her. it would keep them safe, being so far removed from her family. changing her name, her clothes, hell, her whole way of life was to keep them out of harm's way. in the beginning, she was very loud and clear in her opinion of her mother’s resistance. the first order should try and end the war, come up with a compromise, a treaty, with what the resistance fought so desperately for. hope just wanted it to end. however, snoke and his training methods had broken hope down to a shell of her former self. at the end of it, she arose ko’ri ren, leader of the knights of ren and empress of the first order. until adrien had walked through the doors, she hadn’t even heard her old name spoken from another person in so long that it felt foreign. she didn’t feel like hope anymore. ko’ri meant hollow, and that’s exactly how she felt. she stopped fighting with the generals on the war. she stopped trying to do what she could to keep her family on the other side from being killed on sight. “ there is no hope anymore. she’s long gone, “ she said. she could feel the anger and frustration boiling up through her veins. “ i’m not the same person i used to be. i’m the empress of the first order, and i won’t be lied to, “ she spat. “ i won’t ask you again. “
