Christopher gave a bashful smile at the compliment, toeing at the ground with his shoe. “Oh, Pooh. You’re smart as well!” He believed it, too. Christopher Robin would most definitely not give out false claims! He genuinely thought his golden-haired friend was intelligent, if not in the traditional sense, then in his own way.
He swung his thin arms, hands now encased in Pooh’s own warm, sticky palms. He gave a squeeze back, trying to be gentle as well, though it’s not at all like his frail fingers could do much damage.
"Oh, well I was wondering if we could go down by the water today. It’s surprisingly pleasant outside for the season, and who knows when the next time will be that playing by the river will be!" He could only hope there would be some nice rocks to skip across the surface! That was his favorite thing to do by the river, after all.
❝Awh, thank you very much Christopher!❞
Though the Bear didn't believe himself to be intelligent -- but yes, possible in his very own Pooh way he was! But what he lacks in Brain, he makes up in Heart, which is why he loves and understands so much just like Christopher Robin, or perhaps even more-so!
❝Oh, that sounds lovely! Maybe we can skip rocks and see dragonflies!❞
Probably not swim though, with the weather and all. The Pooh Bear wouldn't want Christopher Robin to get sick, since the boy could get ill so easily being so fragile and all. Grinning all the while, Pooh crouches down in front of Christopher, releasing his hand free from the boy and looks back to smile at him, gesturing for the boy to climb on his back.
❝C'mon Christopher Robin I'll carry you there!❞
