why hasnt anyone talked about the fact merlin doesnt remember the time arthur declared him as the only one he thinks he can trust

i know the scene was supposed to be funny cuz it was assassin!merlin but arthur trusts him more than anyone and yet merlin still had to lie to him about his magic and its absolutely tragic because in the end the main reason arthur was upset was because merlin didnt tell him the truth and he probably thinks its because merlin didnt trust him enough you guys-
