Thinking about Merlin saying "I can't loose him, he's my friend!" Because in that moment he's being more honest then he's ever been. He finally admits everything he's done was not about destiny or Albion or legalizing magic or the golden age or anything other then the fact he cared about Arthur so deeply he'd do anything to keep him alive.

TBH Arthur's behavior in 2x06 when he told Merlin to run after the arrest warrant was given is how he'd have reacted if Merlin admitted to having magic after saving his life or smthn. This man is not going to allow his other half to die under any circumstances.
